OK, I am having a horrible shaking at the steering wheel when applying the brakes at high speed. Most likely warped rotors. I wanted to upgrade them to the R1 Concepts but the rotors alone are over $200 and I wanted to do them before my wife drives upstate this weekend. I guess they changed the rotor size from previous years cause the older brake posts show them at around $131.
So my next option was to buy some premium rotors from Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts etc. but they do not have any rotors available or just rears. Any suggestions?

No sense making cheap choices on brakes bro. If you call R1 they can put a nice package for you.

I called the dealer just for laughs and they said each stock rotor is $160 a piece. I asked them about them being prone to warping and he said, no not under normal use. The earlier Armadas were prone to that but the 08's dont suffer from that problem. My warped rotors he said may have been attributed to the prior users neglect. He suggesting have the factory one cut rather than an upgrade. He didnt think I would notice a difference.

Dont waste your time and money having the rotors cut replace them

I did a quick look up on the 2008 armada at autoanything.com
and saw some decent deals on rotors.
EBC Sport Rotors
From $201.40 /pr
EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors
From $180.12 /pr
Power Slot Cryo Rotors
From $139.95 each
I'd go with either of these choices.
I've installed the EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors on my 06 acura TL with green stuff pads, and she stops on a dime with less noise than stock.

Thanks for the info... I was hoping a local parts big box store would have something but no chance. I called R1 and the best price for the cross drilled and slotted rotors was $200 for the pair and $60 for extended wear pads with free shipping (fronts only). Only 1 year warranty on rotors...

OK, I bit the bullet, ordered the fronts crossed drilled and slotted rotors from R1 with the posi quiet ceramics. I should get them mid week next week hopefully in time for the weekend. The guy Steven is really helpful there. Gave me a "Forum" deal.
