i've been using costco gas since i got my armada, 5 years ago, never had issues. recently, my mom's (she uses costco gas too) 04 accord stalled 3 times in 2 weeks. no 'ses', no 'check engine' warning, engine just died, she pulled over & car restarted. she brought her car to the dealer & they did some diagnostic tests & could not find anything wrong with the car until the service advisor asked her where she gets her gas. he advised her to stay away from costco gas which she did and she's trouble-free for almost a month now.

i heard about this before but i didnt believe it. my neighbors mechanic said that their gas is diluted, i thought he meant as an additive, but he insisted that costco gas has more water than it should have. so, just for peace of mind, i switched back to shell tho it's a little bit pricey.

i use Chevron 93.. for years...

costco gas is very tempting for the price, i've used it for over a year with no ill effects other than a little lower mileage. I've heard a couple stories where Audi owners get a check-engine light while using costco gas so since then i've stayed away. IMHO, if you're gonna keep your car for more than 5 years, i'd stay away.

hey bro when i had my first car (yugo in 1987) i would only put in supreme (92 or 93) exxon pump gas..one time i was low on funds and put in regular gas and that little engine knocked like the police on a search and seizure.... ever since then i have never used regular gas in anything...

That's right, I have no problems using Chevron 93. My Armada feels fine.

I spoked to the gas attendant at Costco what brand gas they use and he told me it is Chevron just without the techron cleaner.

Wow, That's like Kool Aid without sugar.........My 04' Titan needed 93 supreme because it pinged a lot....Yet my 08' Armada has been doing great on 87 and I only use Shell, Exxon or Chevron......
