Anybody have a problem with their CDPlayer. I have the Bose system and now the CDs will not eject. The screen just keeps saying. CD eject but nothing happens. The radiou works but you can't see the radio channel display. This is stupid. I can't believe a 40k vehicle woudl have something like this break. My 5 year maxima doesn't have problems like this!!!

Yes, I had to have our CD player replaced at 3-4k miles because it would not play or eject CDs.

All factory stereos are junk. The "BOSE" is a CD player assembled by Panasonic following Nissan plans/specs. There has never been a true aftermarket setup put into any car from the factory. They are all just assembled, not designed by the aftermarket makers.

BTW, BOSE stands for Buy Other Stereo Equipment. ;)

Totally agree on that 92TB. If you want good sound then go aftermarket, but only if you are going to go with good aftermarket stuff otherwise keep the stop junk.

Just pick up a ipod and problem with CD's not ejecting is fixed. No more searching and fumbling with CD's. 1 of the best things so far.

I have one also. Good and bad.
Good, lots of songs, no fumbling, etc.
Bad= sound quality. MP3 tech is much less clean and dynamic than CDs at this point, allowing you to store more music due to smaller size of file. Also, output from IPod to aux to Bose through a cheesy headphone wire or FM modulator also adds distortion, interference, etc.
This is not too noticable on stock setups, but would be on a good aftermarket setup.
However, keep in mind I am very critical. EX: I can't listen to some songs on a soundtrack CD because they sound better on the original album. I CAN hear the difference. EX: songs on Matrix soundtrack vs. on originals. ;)

True, the quality of the sound is not as great as if you were playing a CD. I have both the FM modulator and a wire from the ipod to the AUX input, I would recommend the wire. The FM modulator sounds like crap. B

Do you have the nav unit? If so, there is a user programable feature that allows you to view either the AC controls or the radio. You access the menu using the settings button. Non nav Bose units may have the same feature, but I'm not sure.

Thats not 100% true, Volkswagen used to use a lot of Blaupunkt head units in there cars (dont know if they still do this or not), at the time these were identical to the units you could buy aftermarket. Main reason I know is because I worked for a stereo installer (Blaupunkt was our main line) when I was in h.s., and the local VW dealer used to buy replacement head units from us when needed.
