So i went to the dealership and was told my nav controller was shot and it would be 800 plus labor to replace it. Anyone have issues with this? It taeks the disk fine it just won't load it. I found a "new" used controller on ebay for like 75 and am thinking about purchasing it. However if anyone has had issues with theirs and it turned out to not be the controller I really would love some input.

what year is your vehicle? how many miles? i'd consider calling Nissan's National service manager for repair assistance if your car is within warranty.

2006 46,000 miles... I have an extended Security+ Warranty but I was told the one I have doesn't cover the luxury electronics (nav, dvd player, etc)

which version did you get? gold/preferred/silver... etc.

I would still contact nissan consumer service to see if they can help. the fact that you even bought a warranty should help your case.

if you are talking about your nav unit under the passenger seat, then forget trying to fix it. i tried for many months, and tried every trick. i found a refurnished unit on ebay for $300us. got it and works great. if you need contact info, let me know.
