: Good dealership experience in Southern California - Glendale Nissan
Campfamily 08-04-2010, 07:08 PM Fellow SoCal members - just wanted to put in another plug for Glendale Nissan service department. If you've read many of my threads, I have been very critical of Nissan Service in general, but these guys have impressed me. My Armada is there right now for the Fuel Sending Unit recall. I also asked them to check to see if my exhaust manifold is leaking, do the 60K service, and look at a couple of other more minor issues. They got me in and out quick, set me up with a rental car, have kept me up to date on progress (they are replacing both manifolds, passenger side is leaking, driver's side is starting to show signs), and overall, I'm real happy with the service. I had the 30K service done there a couple of years ago, and was real happy with the service department then; they haven't lost their edge. So if you're looking for a service department in the LA area that will treat you well, go to Glendale Nissan. They're top notch!!

Yeah, Here in San Antonio we have Ingram Park Nissan which has really improved their service quality as well. They used to be notorious as the worst in town but have turned things around....

Maybe somebody at Nissan Corporate is listening, and forcing the dealers to improve. My opinion, poor service after the sale was the main chink in Nissan's impressive armor. I think it's a lot easier to sell a mediocre car with excellent service than the other way around (think Saturn, particularly in the early days).

wallykski 08-05-2010, 02:42 PM This should be a pinned list of "good" service locations throughout. Mine is for Orland Park Nissan in Illinois.

Hey Campfamily,
That is good to know since i live in Burbank i can drop my mada off there if necessary. I bought my 08 at Universal City Nissan and they have treated me very nicely eventhough my mada had minor issues here and there which they gladly took care of.
The minor issues were a pain but they handled every need of mine very professionally. To me the issues were an inconvenience, but, they gladly resolved the issues. That makes a BIG difference.
Peace.

The professionalism, and most of all, lack of run-around, is what makes or breaks the experience. My previous experiences with other dealers (shall remain nameless) have been full of run-arounds, outright lies in some cases, damage to vehicles, shoddy workmanship, often requiring multiple visits for what should only take a day to complete. Glad to hear Universal has been taking good care of you as well.
