Well it went well today....did the bilsteins and my new front brakes in about 3 hours! Rented a spring compressor from Autozone and all in all it was pretty straight forward. I plant to do a write up later to submit in the "How to's" section. But for now....here are some pics!

Yep! Bump steer is just about gone! Still need new tires and an alignment.

I know what you mean. But you have to be careful not a lot of places know how to do an alignment on the mada.

Yep.....Pops gave me the place here in OKC that knows how to align the Armada right! I am ready for tires next and then the alignment!

What my project was about.....is getting better handling...(Get rid of the bump steer) and better braking.....and all I can say is WOW!

The stock struts are not very good and many have changed over to better ones. Also the 6000lb beast can be hard on brakes....they did improve them after 2005 I believe and I have had great luck with R1 Concepts and they make a good product at a great price! Over all it cost me $363 total in parts and about 3 hours on a Sunday to get it done. Well worth it!

I will put together a write up soon on the steps to get-r-done.

Hope that helps.

Great pic's. I like how you pointed out the placement of the large washer on the Bilsteins... It seems some installers are getting this wrong which is why some folks are having problems...........

Will the Bilstein HD's work on a 2WD SE? I looked on their website and it is saying only 4WD. Anyone have a suggestion for the 2WD peeps?

I believe its the same 2wd or 4wd. Hopefully someone will chime in on this one. I would be able to tell if I saw a 2wd one.....but I don't know of anyone around here with one.

They are the same. Work great on 2WD or 4WD.
