Here's a link to the headlight mod, it'll show you how to take them apart, paint and put them back together:

lol i wouldnt' consider it too cool at all :P
I've done that before on other trucks... I always just poured some Dawn dish soap and hot water into the bulb hole and shook it around for awhile then poured out and kept rinsing until all the soap is out... Using the kitchen sink sprayer to rinse and get the rest of it helps too... Then I just ran a hairdryer in the hole to dry it out...
Heck of alot easier than baking them to take them apart. :D
Ive done the Headlight mod...painted mine flat black. It was fairly simple to do, whole process only took about 4hrs, from removal to reinstall. Obviously pull them off the truck, remember which lights go where & wire management, pull your harness off. Take off the rubber piece at the top & unscrew all the screws. Preheat oven to about 350, throw them on a cookie sheet (probably one at a time.. those bad boys are big), pull them out after about 15 min (keep an eye on them because the back side will get hot & melt). Then you do have to pry a little bit to get them apart, once you get them apart MAKE SURE NOT TO REMOVE THE GLUE, you will need it to rebake. They come apart in about 5pcs. Clean them, paint them, do what you will... when you finish, just put them back together, throw them back in the oven and let them sit for about 15min tighten your screws.
