I just couldn't deal with the MPG anymore... and yes, I knew that going in..
I drive about 3000 mi. per month... that works out to too much $$ at the pump... not to mention all the trips to the shop... and the A/C was still blowing hot air... It's like 200 degrees down here and it was very annoying..

Out of curiosity, how much did you get for your trade and what options did you have? With my LE 4x2 w/Tech package and DVD, the most they will give me is $33,500

Well, they took me to the cleaners..
No one wants to buy these trucks anymore and with the $.30/gallon hike last week (here in Fl anyways)... they are dropping prices of new ones.
MIne was 05 SE with Leather and I added DVD. I only paid $32 and change for it... I only got about $27.5 for it.
There are other factors involved but Kelly blue book was only $28.3. I would have gone to carmax but then the $1k in savings is gone in tax money.

Again, I really did love driving the Mada but I was wasting too much on gas...

Yeah...I feel your pain. I ended up financing $43K, and owe just under $42K. Car is worth $33,500--looks like I'm stuck with it for a while.

Too bad to see you go. Interesting note, SUV and truck sales have been up month to month even over the last 12 months.
So, interestingly rising gas prices is not effecting SUV and truck sales.
And for me personally, I don't like $3/gal for gas, but I am not going to put my wife and kids into a smaller SUV or car to get an extra 5mpg.

Can't beat for safety 5,500lbs, with front and side curtain airbags, and a large V8 motor.

I understand and you're probably right.
My wife and 2 yr old are already in a Volvo XC90 so they're safe :)

I am now in an 05 Acura TL with Nav..and bluetooth... had 9k miles and got it for 30k even! It doesnt make sense for me to buy new anymore, let someone else take the hit in year 1 and 2 lol.

It does Feel kinda small and will take getting used to but again with the amount of driving I do, I made a mistake getting the Mada, just not for me.
I do miss it though.

Last month I spent almost $800 in gas... that's a big number, to me anyways. lol

again, you all have been wonderfull and helpfull and I will still check in here from time to time if thats ok ;)

Those Acuras are very nice though. I have a co-worker who has a new RL with the AWD and that thing is sw-eeet! Another co-worker has a black Caddy STS and I like the Acura more. Haven't ridden in the Caddy but at best it might be as smooth as the Acura.
