Hey all I live out in the amish country and use well water...
I have noticed recently that I have water spots that are forming on the windows, not on the paint. So I am trying to figure out the best to remove them.

I have tried:
1.) Vinegar (recommended from an auto-care site)
2.) Strong window sprays (Industrial strenght)
3.) and good 'ole elbow grease

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of these damn spots???

I had good luck with the Zaino Clay Bar on my Mada, removing water spots... I don't know why it would not work on the window.

Other idea is use a hammer.. tap lightly! :D

"Lime Away" will work.

Bar keeper's friend is good. Removes the heavy stuff. Its like a fine powder cleanser Bon-ami type.

OK, never heard of Stoners, saw some at Autozone, so I bought it and all I can say it that stuff rocks.

I had water spots on my rear window that had been there for a while but I just never got around to trying to remove them. I learned a long time ago that lemon juice worked on water spots so I decided to give it a go on the Armada. Went to the grocery store and bought a bottle of Real Lemon lemon juice (about 2 bucks)....squirted some on a paper towel....wiped it on the window and BYE BYE water spots. No "elbow grease" required. Just wipe like you'd normally do to clean the window and they disappeared. My buddy thought I was full of BS when I told him what i did....he came over and couldn't believe his eyes that the spots were gone. He did the same thing to his Chevy Avalanche and his spots disappeared too! GIVE IT A TRY

Soooooooo................lol it's been over two years!! I need an update d@mjit!

I always use plain rubbing compound. Not only does it remove water spots it will remove the oil film that forms on the windows. Do small sections at time.Body scrub also works.

Any kind of wax will remove water spots from the windows!

I just use a bit of hard water remover (found at any glass shop) and my orbital. Less than 30 seconds on each window and hose it off and voila! :D
