I'm putting a new stereo in my non-Bose/non-DVD 06 Armada. I figured out that I can put in an adapter that will keep my steering wheel controls functional. What I didn't consider -- and what I don't know -- is whether the rear stereo controls that the kids use will still be functional after I install the new stereo. This issue won't keep me from making the upgrade, but does anyone have any experience with this?

Cool idea. I dont have any experience with your adapter but Id love to know where you got it from. I might just do the samething.

FYI -- you can find it a lot cheaper at other places. FYI, it's around $40 shipped from Amazon.

And I think I've answered my question. The rear audio controls are gone once you put in a new stereo. Oh well, I get a much better-sounding stereo and the kids are SOL. :)
