I'm finally at the point of needing to replace tires on my 06 QX, so I thought it'd be the opportune time to upgrade wheels as well. I was thinking 22's would be fine until seeing how nicely 24's fill out the openings and visually appear to be a nice compliment for such a large vehicle. So, is there a noticeable difference in ride quality going from 22's to 24's for those of you that may have sampled both sizes? Anyone wish to provide a compelling argument for not super sizing? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

24s are a lot crappier ride. its pretty bumpy, stopping takes longer and also the steering wheel feels heavier. i just ordered 305/45/22 nitto tires, so with the 22s, its gonna ride better than before

So far the 24s seem to ride just fine for us. I would only do 22's if you plan on putting on a bigger tire or lowering it like 3/3

It all depends where do you live. If you live in a place with a lot of pot holes like NY don't get 24" but if you live in a place with nice roads then go for it.

Appreciate the replies. Now I'm not sure what to do! I saw a white Tahoe today with some black XD Monsters and Nitto Trails on it, and it looked pretty sweet. Thinking some 20's with 305/55's would be great if they'll fit without rubbing.

If you go with that set up you will be the happiest camper in the world but tire I would suggest 305-50-20 that will give you perfect MPG and ride quality. PS take it from some one who in 1 year had 4 different set up's from 17" to 20"

Thanks, Rob. I'm really beginning to lean that direction. Do you think I'd have any fitment/rubbing issues without some lift?

Yes with the 305-55-20 you might get some back rubbing
