You will like that camera, but if you get serious about photography you'll wish it was an SLR so you can get more lenses. I have the digital rebel and love it but I only have 2 lenses. I have a 50mm fixed that I used for my skydiving photography and then the standard 18-55mm zoom that came with the camera. I'm looking to get another lense that has a zoom around 300mm I think.

actually i noticed that the lens doesn't seem to be to sharp (everything is in focus, but there is a fuzz, could be compression though.i only used 640 x 480. im a bit frustrated with macro shots because this one is freaking clear and the background so blurred. i can't find the right settings to do this. in macro shot do i need to use auto or Aperture-priority AE?

and sometimes i want to blurr the background and it always comes up clear even i used Aperture-priority AE f 5.6 or lower accordng to this site.
