When you say your using linked pc's are you using a cross-over cable directly from one machine to the other or is there a hub?
If so I would assume that you were/are using interent connection sharing from the "primary", or comcast connected pc, over to the "secondary" pc. I would start with the ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the primary....
Hope that Helps!

no i dont use direct cable from one pc to the other, i have comcast cable company so i was using the normal box that you get for internet, i mean from the wall to the box and then to my pc right? ok when i bought my 2nd pc i also bought a lil blue box that says netgear, that it was needded so both pc would have internet, wich meant that i was gonna be using my comcast and this blue box. it seems that my 2nd pc gets connectivity but not enough i dont know why, i guess is because i need to adjust setting on either my pc or on my 2nd pc. if im the host how do i adjust those setting like sharing?
Make sure your Netgear is a router and not just a switch or hub. I assume you are wired and not a 802.11a/b/g wireless setup.
Setup should be:
Wall jack Cable modem from Comcast
then Cable modem to Netgear ROUTER with 2/4/8 ports,
then router to each PC or laptop.
Make sure you settings are on DHCP.
Both computers should now be able to access internet connection.

Looks like the netgear model EN104 is a HUB not a router. I am not sure how your network is setup, but can you verify that both PC's are not using the same ip address? Where are you getting these address's assigned from? I would think they would be coming from your comcast modem. try this, start -> run -> cmd, from command prompt type ipconfig /all, try this on both PC's, make sure they have different ip address information, and reply to thi spost with that info, maybe we can figure this out based on that info.

The other thing I would add is remove both machines from the network. Remove the netgear from the network as well. Connect just one PC to the box (cable modem) that provided by Comcast. Make sure you could suft from the PC. This is to prove that you have connectivity from the cable modem to the internet. If it works, great. If it does not, leave the connection the way it is and call Comcast again.
Next, depending on your service. Most likely you are subscribing only one IP address. Which means you can only connect one machine directly to the cable modem. If that is the case, using the netgear hub that you have would cause some issues. You need to buy and install a router (which supports NAT) in order to have your two machines go surfing at the same time.
Hope this helps.
