Does anyone know the new, if there is a new procedure, for programming an 2010 QX key fob is. My dog chewed the old one so I still have the key I just bought a new fob off eBay... I used the old procedure but could never get it to enter programming mode after inserting the key 6 times...

I am pretty sure with the smart key you have to go to the dealer to have it programmed. That is what I had to do on my Murano that has the smart key. It was $45 dollars to get it programmed, but the prices can vary. I say that because the first dealership i tried was going to charge me $150 to do it. The programming mode is for the the non smart key fob if i remember correctly because I can do that with my 04 Armada that is a non smart key. Hope this helps.

It works. I just did this procedure 2 weeks ago. Rule #1 be patient and keep trying..
Here ya go.
1
Close all doors and lock them using the driver's door control panel.
2
Insert the ignition key, but don't turn it. Take it back out.
3
Repeat Step 2 five more times, all in under 10 seconds. Don't do it too fast, though. If you did it to the right count and right speed, the car will flash its hazard lights.
4
Push the lock button on the first remote within five seconds of ending Step 4. The hazard lights flash again if you did it right.
5
Unlock and relock all the doors from the driver's door control panel, if you have another remote to program.
6
Push the lock button on the next remote within five seconds of completing Step 6.
7
Repeat Steps 6 and 7 for each additional remote.
8
Remove the ignition key.
9
Unlock the doors from the driver's door control panel.
10
Open the driver's door. This completes the exit from the programming mode.

Just completed the procedure above for my 2010 QX56 key fob after it stopped working and its battery was replaced. It worked after about 4 tries. Meticulous procedure. Use your watch.

I've tried this at least 20+ times ( I stopped counting after 20) and I can't get it. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I've followed the instructions as best I could. Not working for my '08.
