I wrote up this lengthy extensive review on this product and when I clicked submit, it went into limbo. WEAK SAUCE! LOL

So in short I bought a CTEK multi 3300 on ebay for about $60, which is cheaper than the $80 you can buy them around town or online.

I decided to give it a try because my little schumacher 1.5 amp trickle charger will not fully charge my deep cycle battery if it's fully discharged. Sometimes I forget to hook up the battery tender after I get back from a road trip or a quick drive to Home Depot q=\

Anyhow I drained the odyssey this time and normally I would just warranty it and pay the pro-rate cost but that is getting old and time consuming. I heard about the CTEK from one of my buddies who's a master Mercedes technician. He uses one for his personal garage and said it works wonders on sealed / glass packed /gel cells.

I figured what the hell, it was half the price of a brand new Optima I figure it was worth a shot.

I wasn't disappointed, the thing works great!

There's a little button on the charger that even looks like a red top optima battery, so that's what I selected. I left it plugged in overnight and checked it in the morning before work. It said it was fully charged and now was in a maintaining mode. I decided to test it out by plugging in my phone charger into the always on cigarette plug for a day. Usually the next day I'd have a hard time charging after going through a full discharge then recharge.

Not this time! She turned over after one crank, as if the battery was brand new! This is bounds better than what i've gone through before. I'll have to keep an eye on this setup in the long term, but for now it seems like it's a winner. The technology behind the product seems sound IMHO.

Well there you have it, if any of you are looking for a battery tender/charger and or have a deep cycle battery: I fully recommend this charger.
