I just put down a deposit on a Black '09 4WD w/13,880 miles. I'll be picking it up on the 21st and driving it home [600 miles].

I have been looking for a black 09/10 for some time [don't care for new body style] , and finally found a low-mile one within driving distance of my house.

Since I can never leave my vehicles alone, I'll probably be doing intake, exhaust, and some sort of tuner - like SuperChips or some other 'canned' tune I can do myself.

I'm happy to listen to anyone's recommendations on any of the mods I've mentioned above!

Welcome to the Club! I wish I had your tuning budget and your stable of other cars. You have some sweet rides there and I'm sure the QX56 will fit right in.

Not to jack your post or anything, but I wonder why more people don't go with the Stillen Dual Exhaust? It looks pretty sweet on the QX on their website and being from Stillen I'm sure it will produce HP gains. Just curious.

Thanks. Not sure on the Stillen - I don't have any experience with their products. That's probably the only reason I didn't look at them.

Thanks. I'm going to do a dyno pull each step of the way. Baseline, mod #1, mod #2, mod #3.

I think I'll do the SuperChips tuner last. Any thoughts?

Before you spend on the SuperChips (of course you can always sell it), check out UpRev.

I got a pretty good deal on the SuperChips - I'll see what kind gains I get with it.

Picked up the car in San Francisco Wednesday. Drove home yesterday - about 660 miles. Awesome vehicle - smooth sailing all the way home.

I noticed it doesn't like broken pavement/bumps - transmits vibration through the steering wheel. Nothing horrible; I can live with it. Other than that, I can't really think about anything to complain about.

I'll try to get the bolt-ons installed next week and dyno'd.

Congrats on the ride..what did you pick her up for. As far as the bumps do a search on here for the blistiens shocks...that will solve your bump steer issues.

Cool - good to know!

I got it for $41k - I thought it was a fair deal. There are not many low-mile black 4x4 rigs out there.

BlackCobra

Probably around 180 or so. That Z06 is the fastest of the bunch. By far :)

DAMMMMMMMMMMMMM thats crazyyy. Yur a luckyy man bro. I was droooling just looking at that ferrari. I wish I could just sit in one one day. If you got money to keep all these sexy cars why didnt you buy an escalade instead of a qx56??

Thank you - I do feel very fortunate.

I like the 'normal' Escalades, but we have kids and dogs, so it isn't big enough. I don't like the ESV, so I picked up the QX - which I really like so far!

Ahhhhhh good choice then. The ESV looks like a train wagon. Almost like a bus. The regular escalade is nice tho. Good choice on the qx56 tho. I was looking at used madas nd qx56s but all of them ballparked around 30k and 35k with under 50k miles. Then i decided to just add some more $ and buy a new car. I love my armada so far but the only thing i hate is that i cant lift it cus i live in nyc nd i park it in a garge. It barely fits without lifting it and if i lift it then it wont fit. :(

Congrats on the new ride! Yes, I would highly recommend purchasing some Bilstein's. I just replaced my OEM with them a month ago and it is night and day. There are a lot of threads on "Bump Steer" here. Welcome!

Anyone have part #'s on the Bilsteins?

I'll start reading up on it!

Installed the Magnaflow Exhaust Saturday. Didn't have time to go dyno it - I doubt it was worth much, but it sure sounds nice!

Nice and deep - very little droning @ cruise, and not too loud.

smh it would take me aproxx 3 hours to find a spot for this beast lmfao. Before I bought it I was considering buying a used 2007 and park it on the street but then considering the size of this truck and the v8 I decided to just buy a new one and pay $500 a month for the garage. And its really worth it becasue i can take it out whenever i want and bring it back whenever i feel like it. :D
