: Trying to learn
jaydiesel 05-05-2011, 09:24 PM OK Ive been a member for a few weeks Ive seen some MONSTER rides!...I want in...although Im not very mechanically inclined I want MODS! Ive learned alot reading some of the topics...I need to know what should I start with first my MAD is stock and I really want the sound and I want it to breathe properly...in other words Im ready to let the BEAST out!...would someone tell me where to start and remember Im not a mechanic! :D
drauden 05-05-2011, 09:37 PM Intake first, then Exhaust.
beason 05-05-2011, 09:40 PM a cold air intake is pretty easy to install. I have the AEM brute force on my titan, but it should fit the mada just fine. Its not hard at all to install, but is easier with a second set of hands.
If you dont want to do that, you could do a stock air box mod, and KnN drop in filter.
exhaust would have to be done at a shop. I have a flowmaster 50 dual in/out on mine and it sounds great but the chambered design doesnt really help with performance.
dragon_27 05-09-2011, 07:17 PM i went with the s&b intake and magnaflow muffler and it sounds awesome. not too loud like mustangs and such, but a nice deep v8 roar...
sidgarza 05-09-2011, 09:22 PM Also a handheld tuner (i.e. Bullydog,Superchips, ect.) would help unleash some of the beast you're looking for.
9balllrook 05-09-2011, 11:54 PM Be forwarned!!! Once you start you can't stop, good thing is though it makes the Mada way more fun to drive. As everyone else has said make em breath better!! How about upgrading the sound system? Maybe a lift? Some spiffy wheels (and tires, of course). I could go on, oh yeah I have, just ask my wife, just catch her in a good mood...
cvan44 05-28-2011, 12:54 PM What size Magnaflow muffler did you go with? 18 or 22?
dragon_27 05-29-2011, 02:57 AM i went with the louder sounding one which i think was 18? correct me if i'm wrong...
tchjts1 05-29-2011, 03:29 AM How much money ya got? :)
Injen PowerFlow CAI, SuperChips 91 Octane tune, Borla stainless steel dual exhaust.
Nice and quiet... until you hit the hammer.
Now you need something to slow you down... R1 Concepts premium rotors and Posi-Quiet pads.
Don't wanna be bump-steering all over the place, so let's throw a set of Bilstein HD's on there.
Got any money left?
Nice set of aftermarket rims - topped off with some Revo 2's or Terra Grapplers will do you right.

FamilyAssaultVehicle 08-25-2011, 11:09 PM Man you guys are funny!!!!!!! But so right with suggesting Intake first. So many exhaust systems and programmers out there to choose from but just like the saying, "potato or patotto", or in other words, pick one that works for you. Do you want mild or wild? Want to spend 3.49 a gallon or 3.79 a gallon? Family haulin or Hemi stompin!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually come to think about it, have done both and killed the bumble bee with the wife and kids as witness by 2 lengths.....Hahaha!!!!!!! Do what your hearts content and never look back; unless you like watching their headlights fade away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man I love our Datsun's!!!!!!
Scorpion 08-26-2011, 07:24 AM The problem is that once you start you can't stop
