: Is the on-dash screen made redundant by upgrading the receiver?

hi there

i bought a 2006 LE last week and my thoughts have immediately turned to the receiver. I'm going to upgrade so i can have ipod connectivity and bluetooth handsfree - i'm thinking of a Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD, which seems ok and within budget... unless anyone has any suggestions...

My question is though: when I install this it will essentially make the screen on the dash redundant as everything can run through the new receiver. What do people recommend in this case?
I suppose I could run satnav/rear camera to the screen on the dash and keep the receiver for hifi control only? Satnav is a slight waste of time here in Dubai as the roads change weekly and maps are never current, but maybe it would be good to have the option. And if i had satnav surely that would 'play' on the screen of the unit it came with...?
Also - i would assume the new receiver would have a crisper image for the rear camera than the screen on the dash, being newer - or is this limited really by the camera? Someone may have some experience with this?

feels like a big can of worms at the moment! thanks for any input and apologies in advance for any slow response from my end as I'm not very well connected this end.
cheers
