Can anyone recommend a Leather care product? I have never owned a car with Leather before and I am not sure how to care for it. Thanks

Hullio's topic is good, but prevention of cracking is more important.

Things you can do to prevent:
Clean with only leather specific products or better still, use clean water without soap.
Dry them if they get wet.
Do not use Armor-All or other Silicon based products as these promote dry rot, attract dirt, and magnify UV rays.
Occasionally dress them with Lexol or other nutrient dressing for leather.

Doing this they should last for decades. I had a Jeep GC with Leather. It was 10 years old and had 145k on it and the seats were perfect. All I did was wipe them down with water.

Not sure how Hullio got cracking on a leather seat after 2 years or less. Think about a leather couch inside your home. Does it start cracking after 2 years? Do you need to apply things to them to prevent cracking? Do you spray Armor-all all over them? Car seats should last the same way and require similar care.

Good luck. :bonvoyage

even i'm confused why the driver seat is crackin  :( should i take it into the dealer to ask? couches inside the house are leather and we have neverrrr used any laether care products and the couch's leather has been great for over 15 years..Suree there might be few cracks here and there on the couch, but it's holding up wayyyy better than the Armada Leather :clueless:

If you haven't used any cleaning products or had any major spills of something, etc. I'd bring it to the dealer and say WTF. :crikey:

well if you use your mada for everyday of course you will see your leather fading away, i have a 4 piece leather sofa, and its in excellent condition.. why? because we use it only when we have parties, family... wich means we do not use it or sat on it everyday. :)

I use my leather couch for my seat as I work out of my home office. Its 8 years old and looks new. ;)

I agree w/triple. I have a leather couch that I sit on everyday. Its five yrs old and looks brand new. The trick is you must start out w/good leather (those advertised specials of $499 for a leather couch wont work, the leather is cheap) and take care of it. If you take care of the Armada seats w/the ideas mentioned in this thread, they will last.
