I have a 2004 Armada with a after market Eclipse Avn5435 in the dash. I want to hook up my factory DVD player thats in console and factory drop down 7" monitor without taking the eclipse out. How do I do that?
P.s. I don't want to buy a new DVD/monitor if I don't have to.

I am going to try to help you with this one, but first let me understand if I am reading this correctly. You have a aftermarket radio already installed? You already have the oem dvd player and lcd on hand? Are you the original installer and owner of the truck? Did the truck come with the dvd player and lcd or did you get the parts by other methods? Do you have at least some of the wiring harnesses for the lcd and the dvd player? Once these questions are answer I can better get an ideal of what you are working with. If you can please post some pictures of your system.

The car is used and it came with the after market nav in dash (thats how they sold it to us). Last night I tryed to take the factory dvd player out and i some how took the face off so the man at best buy said I have to get a new one. I still have the factory LCD so I guess I will just get an after market dvd and see if it can hook up to the factory LCD. Can you do that?

Yes! You can hook up an aftermarket dvd player to an oem LCD. I am actually in the process of doing that myself.
Please refer to this post for reference.:

Can you post a picture of your dvd player, I don't think taking the face off it has render it useless unless you have snap some wires are something

No based off the picture I saw it does not look broken to me (put the face plate back on and see if you can get it to turn on.)
After taking some time to think about this one I believe the only way that this will work is only throw the aux setting on your aftermarket radio (sound only) and as long as the dvd unit can power up on its own. The reason being for this is that the oem radio has a setting for dvd selection, usually aftermarket radios do not have this setting. Usually the only settings that are available are AM/FM/USB/AUX.
Usually with this type of vehicle you would see an oem radio working with an aftermarket dvd system, not the other way around. For the mere fact that the oem radio was taken out tells me that you have a completely new system. I could be wrong because I don't know how they wired up the new radio in your car and that right there is the biggest hurdle. In my opinion it is probably best that you go to a shop so that they can trace wires to see which one goes with which and give you the best possible solution for your Armada. I hope this helps, let me know how this turns out.
