Does anyone know if a regular rear bench seat will fit in place of the buckets and center console?
We were considering asking around on this forum to see if anyone locally had a black leather rear bench seat and might want to trade?

Also need the same question answered. Looking at a '11 Platinum with bucket seats. What is the cost to swap center console for a bench seat? Black in color.

You usually have to swap the whole row because of the armrests, but yes, they are interchangeable.

And the hardest part is finding someone willing to trade that has the right colour interior! :)

of course NOW i see peeps who have black leather interiors who are looking to swap captains for bench.

where were you guys when i had my 08 and was looking to get my bench out for captains!! :p

Thanks Pops...entire row has to swap. Got it. Does the year matter? Before I sell my '04, can I swap it to the '11 ? The '04 is in excellent shape.

Do you think that if I had the center seat modified by a upholstery shop to clear the armrests of the captain chairs, could the center seat from a bench seat fit? I have never seen one so excuse me if it seems like a stupid question. Does the plastic plate from under the center console get removed so the center seat bolts in with seat belts?

I was looking into a change out with my 05 QX56 and from every thing I could tell from the schematics and from tearing out my center counsel. The middle seat of the second row could just bolt in the floor in place of the mounting plate and the arm rests can be removed from the outer seats. Now this is all in theory because I have not been able to find a seat to change out. But I looks like it works.
