After reading up for quite a while, I finally decided to pull the trigger on some of these shocks. The QX has been paid off for quite a while, but I've been trying to decide whether or not to put any money into it due toying with getting something new. Well, it's been such a solid, reliable rig that I made the commitment with a new set of Cooper Discoverer AT3's last week. Now I'll be getting the Bilsteins put on this weekend and an alignment. Can't wait to experience a smoother ride. By the way, John at ShockWarehouse was very helpful, and they still offer the ClubArmada discount.

No alignment is necessary when changing shocks. However, if you see uneven tire wear you should have alignment checked.

Just wondering, did you guys ordered both front and rear sets bilsteins ? Some mada members have expressed concern about rear shocks does not fit for our madas? Thanks in advance.

Just went with the front for mine. Have the auto leveling rear. I'm having an alignment done as well since I just had a new set of tires put on last week.

Bilsteins are great. Had them on my 07. I will put them on my 2011 that I pick up next week once I get to around 40k miles. The difference is amazing.

I had Bilsteins on my M Class. The worst shocks I ever owned. They failed twice on me. The only good thing about a Bilstein is the warranty. They replace them for free.
I suppose if you don't go off road, they might be OK.
