I have a 30 FT camper and had a rear view camera on the back end of the camper that I could view on the video screen of my previous tow vehicle and wanted that capability on the Armada. This forum is so great and provided me with most of what I needed. I decided to get the Navtool interface. I wanted to be able to turn the camera on/off with a second tow mode switch. On my Armada to the left of the steering wheel there are 5 slots for switches, the middle one was empty, so I ordered a tow mode switch and wired it so that it functioned like the regular tow mode switch except that it turned on my campers rear view camera. Thanks goes to the12volt.com for relay wiring information.
I attempted to post photos of the switch, but I am having trouble.
Thanks to everyone for all of the excellent information!!!!

I just got back from camping at Little Talbot State park in North Florida, the wind ripped my awning off of my camper one morning and the next morning the tide came up so far we had to stack all of our gear on the picnic table to keep it from getting wet. My rear view camera switch is working fantastic. The picture might be a little fuzzy but you will get the idea, if they upload ok.
Thanks again forall of the great info!

So this switch enables showing the rear view camera of your travel trailer on the Armada display? How about showing us all how you wired that in? (Or did you not have a camera on your Armada rear door to begin with and just wired that in there?)

Hi Mike,
My Armada has a camera on the back door. I also installed a camera on the back of my camper trailer. I wanted to be able to push a button to view my camper camera on the front screen. I got the camera interface from navtool.com, it allows you to plug up to two cameras (rca jacks) into the navtool and provides a plug-n-play harness connector to the back of the armada video screen. So I plugged the rca connector from my camper camera into the navtool rca1 adapter. To view the camper camera you have to flip a switch that is hard wired to the navtool. The provided switch was a simple SPST switch that when closed allows the normal display from the armada to display, and when open it allows the video from the first rca connector on the navtool to be viewed on the display. My biggest issue was that I want a clean looking install, so I thought I would buy a second TOW MODE switch and install it a blank spot in the console. The biggest problem with the Tow Mode switch is that it is a momentary contact switch so it doesn't stay closed when you release it, so I had to hook up some relays to provide a push button on/off function. So the end result is that the display unit acts normally until I push my second tow mode switch and then I get the view from the back of my camper camera, push the tow mode switch again to get back to the normal view. It comes in handy when passing and changing lanes with my 31 foot camper trailer.
What I hope to do next is to tap into the DVD player video harness and hook it to the rca2 adapter on the navtool unit so the front seat passenger can also view a video.
I hope that all makes sense....

that's pretty cool! nice job! I have plain old autozone toggle switches to toggle my video. i never thought of using a replacement stock button as a toggle switch! that's smarts!
