Yeah, it looks meaner less road queen. :D

one4freedom,rockendoublez: try it out if you dont like it just take it off. Its 8 bucks a can. I got it from amazon cuz apparently its super popular now that i cant find black spray can at local stores including home depot n ace hardware. that took me 2 and 1/2 can, 4 coats like 3-4 hours to do including prep time.

What's the trick to getting such straight line edges??

Nicely done sir! Did you do a nice fat "racing" strip all the way back to the rear bumber? I'm also curious as to how you got such nice lines! Makes me wonder what other possibilites are available... hmmm..... Oh is there any concern about the edges peeling?

Blue painters tape. :D i just tape and follow the car line. Its tricky to take off though, i just carefully pull away from the paint. pulling to fast the plasti dip wants to come out with it. as for the edge peeling, i dont have issue with it at all (yet). :) I just paint up to the sun roof. I will continue in the top rear and bumper this weekend. ran out of time.

Would putting a layer or two of clearcoating over the hood, roof, rear hatch, etc solve the potential issue of peeling? It is really nice that if you don't like it then it can easily be pulled off, but if you DO like it then it would be nice not having to worry about it peeling off randomly by its ownself... lol :)

true..but i did a test on using clear coat over the plasti dip. it made the plasti dip harder to take off and brittle.

I never figured it was ever close to looking like a road queen, I think Armadas are the meanest looking SUVs...

Im not a fan of the look, looks unfinished for some reason

I dont mean it look like a sissy suv, just mean its pampered. the matte look more rugged. it look unfinished cuz its not shiny like what we are all used too. :)

Sorry. People like me are hoarding it. I have about 6 cans left over from when I did my wheels and bumpers.

I may have to break this one out soon.

I'm considering doing my grille and bumper now... Still have lots left over from doing the factory Mustang wheels for winter tires.

update: so i decided to remove the plasti dip on the hood since there a few uneven spray part. its a pain to take off. =/ it has 4 coats but it wasnt thick enough to remove as a whole piece. it keep breaking off as i started to remove it. took 1 hr and i was only able to remove like 2% off it. i stop and will spray 4 more layers on this weekend and see if that thick enough to peel off as a single sheet. as for now the hood looks like a hot mess. LOL
