I have a new Armada SL on order. Coming in Jan-Feb. It's a 1 year lease and I have to return it in factory stock condition, so I'm not allowed to make any changes that can't be put back to stock. BUT, I've grown accustomed to having a backup camera (to make towing hookup quick and painless) and an indash DVD with built-in Bluetooth. On my last 2 SUV's, I put in single DIN aftermarket DVD systems, both ordered from Ebay, both inexpensive non name brand systems, and both worked effectively. For a camera, I used license plate mounted cameras.
So my question is, what's the best way to install a DVD/Bluetooth system and be able to easily convert it back to stock when the lease is up?
I'm assuming I'd get a double DIN head unit and also have to get some kind of steering wheel control adapter, although I can get by without the steering wheel controls if it means having to chop up the wire harness where it can't be put back to stock.
Suggestions on what to buy and how to install?
Thanks.
This seems like a great forum with helpful and very informed members.
