Hi everyone-

I am new to the forum, belong to quite a few other forums. I am about to purchase an 05 QX56 and wanted to know if there were general issues I should look out for. The gentleman who is selling it bought it new in 06 and had all the service work done at an Infiniti dealership. The vehicle is in good condition considering how old it is. Thanks in advance for any advice.

How many miles are on it? Cracked Manifolds that are covered up to 80k.

Give us a few more details about it, mileage, etc, what's been repaired. Have you seen the service paper work from the dealer?

Welcome to CA. This year I believe had recalls on the brakes. Run a Carfax and check it out.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. The QX has every option that could be ordered from the factory. It currently has 100k miles on it. I test drove it last week an will be going for a second run this weekend. I have not seen the paperwork yet, but plan to look at it. The seller made no secret that he had all of the service done at the Infiniti dealership here in Columbus, OH.m I will run an auto check and carfax on it in the morning. Thanks again everyone.

I agree with you Rob. Still better to get the Recalls checked out and a Carfax run for sure.

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update. I bought the QX today. Ended up paying $14500 for it. I thought I got a pretty good deal. I have all the service records and it looks like the previous owner took great care of it and took it in for any problem that arose. It did have a accident show up on Autocheck, but I did a record search of the accident with a friend who is a CPD Sargent and he looked over the incident report and found that the only damage to the QX was minor at most and not major that needed towing. I am looking forward to my ownership. It is a great vehicle!!
