Hows this. I took pics at my lot and infront of the model. Mine is going to be same style as the model with a slightly different elevation (windows, roof peaks, etc. with same floorplan) ;)

Here's the only pic I have of the mada and the house, not the best, but it gets the job done! 300K in Texas huh? I'm in Maryland and the house you see in the background was recently appraised at over 390K and not nearly as nice as scr!!

Sorry, didn't have a chance to resize....to come!!

I am a little late seeing this. There is a house next door to me that is for sale. I think it is 4 bedrooms, and has a screened in pool, three car garage. Don't remember the size (sq. ft.) of the house, probably in the 2,600 range. I think it is listed for a little over $300K.
There is another one about three blocks away, it is larger, for about $420K.

The $300K is the price of the house next door. Mine is quite a bit larger, a little over 5,000 sq. ft. 4-5 bdrooms, 4 full baths, 2 half baths, and about 800 sq. ft. in a triple garage on a one acre creek lot. My insurance company recently appraised it at $660K.

Sounds like quite the place SCR! I'm looking to move to Charlotte In the 1st quarter next year maybe. Real estate is very reasonable down there, and the tech corridor is getting hotter, which is good for my family and I!

Once again SCR, very nice place sir.

Thanks for the comments. My wife and I designed the house and I was my own general contractor. We did a lot of the work ourselves. Have been in the house almost ten years; it took about a year to build.

Thanks 2020, when I bought this parcel 3 years ago I was in heaven, still am, it was a real find. It is a little over 2hrs away from my home in town, but I moonlight a bit and both my boys aways have something going on nearly every weekend so I only have been up there about 5 times this whole year. I keep telling myself that it will be aways there but it still drives me nuts. The good news is the side money will be paying for a nice shop/building there maybe next year and maybe even a tractor. I am taking a full 2 weeks there next summer and just going to run around barefoot and drink beer(act like a local).

Cillyone,

Just wondering... what do you do for a living to enjoy all those toys? And what is the side money that can build you a new shop?

Not trying to be nosy... but always looking for new ways to earn more money.

Here is my 4600 sq ft house, no pics of the beast out front yet, just finished building and landscaping last year. My design, worked for a good 5 years tweaking blue prints, and finally got it done the way we wanted it. Currently installing a lift in the garage for my new "baby" :)

Dang ! How much does it worth over there? In California, the house like this would go for 3-4 mil minimum.

Thanks, I appreciate it, it was a lot of time designing to do it right. We built with a local custom builder, really a good guy, lots of unique features built in. He won a design and construction award for it, and has it plastered all over his web site now. I keep joking with him that I designed it, he only swung the hammer, LOL. We aren't paying California prices thank god, it's on 3 acres, at the end of a culdesac. 15 homes on my street, I've got the smallest lot on our street, most run 4 or 5 acres, largest is 7, with protected land, woods, behind everyone, and a view of the Delaware Water Gap in front. Very lucky when I bought the property years ago, things have skyrocketed in our area (3rd fastest growth county in the country) since 911. We are being inundated with people that moved out of NJ/NY and commute to the city (approx 60 miles) because they are affraid to be close to NYC. A friend of mine had bought the property next door to me right around 911, and just resold it for 800% of what he paid, sold it to a guy that works on Wall Street, moving out of Manhattan. I've built 3 homes in the last 10 years, this is my last one until I die, or get divorced (at least that what I tell the wife) :)
