Just wondering what you big subwoofer guys are doing to silence some of the exterior rattles. My rear wiper blade seams like if wants to fall off even at low volume with the 12 inch bumpn'. There is also an odd sound coming from underneath the rear of the truck near the spare. It sounds like pressure being relieved through some sort of flap or something. Any help is appreciated. I'm getting my window rattles fixed on Tues. but there not much of an issue unless rolled down.

The flapping noise you are hearing is comming from vents in the body. Most newer cars have these vents installed in the body. They are a plastic grill with a thin rubber flap, the design is to let the air out of the cabin when the pressure changes ie: windows up, and ac fan is cranked. In the past I just tore out the rubber flaps to get rid of the noise. Only dissadvantage to that is that outside air can enter the cab, along with bugs, but I never seemed to have any prolbems.

Don't forget to put rubber washers on the license plate frame. ;)

Believe it or not since the plate is mounted to the bumber it doesn't make a sound. Just need a solution for the rear wiper. Thanks to Run2 for pointing out the vent noise.

I treated mine with felt tape everywhere I could, but honestly I'm not sure if there's much of a solution for this. The wiper blade housing as that spring in it and I couldn't see a way to keep it from rattling. I did kill some of it by treating the area where the tab meets the gate, but from there ???

Why not slip a slitted tube of plastic like a piece of heat shrink over the spring. Don't shrink it, just put it there to cup the spring so it doesn't rattle in the wiper. It would be black and invisible. Not sure if this will work as I haven't tried but something like that should fix the problem. ;)

Dynamat in the tailgate will help. The wiper rattle because the tailgate is rattling, keep the tailgate from rattling and it will reduce the vibration to the wiper blade.

not really sure about the wiper, but i would definately recomend dynamat. i think i spent almost an entire day dynamatting my truck when i did my system, and it really helped. You obviously don't have to go as crazy as i did, because i did my ENTIRE truck, undercarpet, headliner, etc. Either way, this should really help to cut down on vibrations, as well as road noise when your driving. Come to think of it, it might actually help the wiper too. Being that it would be sucking up vibration, it might also reduce the vibrations going to the wiper.

My gate is dynamatted, but that's not going to prevent the wiper from vibrating.

I like the heat shrink idea.
