: tell me what you think
SoundAdvice 11-11-2005, 02:12 AM hey everyone, help me out. I working out some details with aza forged wheels for them to build me a custom set of rims. let me know what you think about these ones. pardon the picture, but i photoshopped them on there to see what they would look like. I also photoshopped the grill, so that would explain why it doesnt really match the paint. It's close though. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Why did you post twice? Everyone can see all the topics.

He probably assumed that the Pathy guys might ignore the regular posts. I'm sure he will realize that most folks justt hit the new posts button. No harm done.
Mike Up 11-11-2005, 02:35 AM BTW, my bookmark comes right here. I'm not interested in the Armada as it's to close to my belated, hated, troubled Titan. :machinegu
Getting to the picture, I don't like the wheels.
I don't like the bling that kids are trying to spew all over their cars. I like a very small amount of chrome, like the Pathy has, and no more. I hated the Titan SE's over chromed looked, just to gawdy to me.
The Pathfinder is an off road SUV and any mods should be to enhance that character IMO. I like alloy or aluminum wheels, not chromed or blacked out. I like tires with a tall side wall and thick footprint. I absolutely hate rubberbands on 22" wheels. The ideal size tire/wheel are whats on the Off Road Pathy 265 75R16, nice tall sidewalls with thick grips.
I like the grill to either match the paint job or be chrome. So the grille would be good for me.
I guess living where I do, I'm just sick of the ghetto look as it's everywhere with some punk listening to rap.
Not trying to say your taste is bad, just not inline with mine. So others may like it. So please don't take offense.
Have a good one.
FL_Crushin 11-11-2005, 02:38 AM Wow, you Pathy guys can be sensative. :chillpill

Getting to the picture, I don't like either. I'll be up front, I don't like the Ghetto look and that's way to Ghetto for me.

Sorry, but you asked.

Not trying to flame ya dude, but ask yourself is it the way they modify there cars or is it the people that drive them that really bothers you. By all means post your opinion on how to mod or not, but when you use the terminology that you did, and call folks who listen to rap "punks" that maybe a bit offensive to others, including myself. Again not trying to start a war or convince you to be PC, but I promise you won't see me saying that someones truck is "country' or "redneck."

That's the terminology here, sorry you were offended.

Now tell me. Would you actually ride down into this "ghetto" in Chicago, get out of your nice Pathy, and call someone "Ghetto" to their face (and live to talk about it). If it's not a safe thing to do face to face, then it is probably offensive to the group of people that you are labeling, so it's probably not a good thing to do in here either. Your ignorance, not your opinion, is what is offensive.
92TripleBlack 11-11-2005, 10:22 AM Not enough rubber. Tires that tall will be very short lived, and expensive for no benefit unless you want to brag about how much you paid. They look sharp, but I'd stick to 22" or under. Those look like 26". If you drive it around on a flatbed it shouldn't be a problem. ;)
SoundAdvice 11-11-2005, 12:03 PM hey everyone.
Sorry to bring up a sore point. The only reason why i would be getting those wheels is for shows. Because of where i work, and the shows that i do, it is kind of a necessity to have something a little bit different, and attention getting. The wheels would be 22", and i would probably only use them for shows, etc. Other than that, i would be driving on the stock wheels. I personally would rather have gone maybe 20 at most with some decent tires, but thats not my call.
Sorry for the double post. newbie mistake.
Jim
92TripleBlack 11-11-2005, 12:16 PM Then it sounds great to me. As I said, as long as you aren't using them for serious daily driving, they would be fine. You can make some good coin on people willing to pay to play. Rake it in man! ;)
ockevin 11-11-2005, 01:39 PM I like the wheel choice and the color match grille.
Cant hate on SOnd Advice and call him ghetto, when if you check his picture, he enjoys offroading and riding ATV's. Mike sorta coontradicts himself.
