: Creaky Driver's Seat?

This is starting to get annoying. Between the brakes, tires, interior rattles, shaky DVD player and now a squeeky driver's seat, I'm starting to think I should have kept the Durango. I would expect more from a vehicle that has an MSRP of $48,000.

Is anyone else having this issue with the seats?

Yep, mine squeaks. I had several Pathfinders over the years and they did as well. My buddy has a Titan with the same issues. Not sure what can be done. You can take it in and they will silicone the s%$t out of it and it will go a way for a while. Don't worry though, it will be back.

As far as the rattles and other squeaks. It is a 6K Lbs truck built on a seriously stiff frame. Its going to rattle….I agree, Nissan could have done a better job in this area, it is excessive.

They replaced my seat frame and lubed the screws. No squeaks since. ;)

I just cured (at least for now) my passenger seat squeek. It sounded like two crickets goin at it when no one was in the seat. I couldn't pin point the source but I suspected it was from where the seat bolts to the floor. So I unbolted it put some sound deadening material around the bolt holes and its been quiet for 2 days:). I basically made a gasket between the floor and the seat frame. So you might give that a try.

Yep...mine did squeak. Had it fixed last Thursday along w/ 2 other "TSB" repairs.

Tech described it as "SEAT TRACK OUT OF ADJUSTMENT","REMOVED AND RE INSTALLED SEAT"

Squeak hasn't returned.

Also had them fix front windows for rattle when partially opened w/ new "WINDOW RUN RUBBER"

Rattles no more.

And last but not least had them fix ticking noise from engine w/ special order part "EVAP ASSY HOSE" along w/ new "PURGE BRACKET"

Ticking long gone.

Hopefully this will be the last time my Armada is in the shop. Has been there at least 10 times since new. Seems like they have to determine the problem then order parts and then once parts come in...back to the freakin shop w/ no rental replacement. Have also had the "FINAL BREAK FIX" done along w/ new rear cupholders in which my stereo installer broke and I blamed on Nissan. Have also had it in for numerous rattles which they have done their best to fix...I know I am probably rambling now, but it is a pain in the *** to keep bringing the Armada back and forth into the shop. I love the car and will keep it...just wish it had less "problems"

Got my driver's seat fixed. I had Babe (the big, blue ox) in last week and they ordered a whole new seat frame - installed yesterday. No more squeeeeek. Sounded like extra-large armored crickets fighting to the death under my seat as I went around every corner.

Kudos to Nissan of Bakersfield and service advisor Peggy. :fantastic She's the first SA I've worked with there who seemed to know much of anything about the Armada.

I have this issue as well and the dealer doesn't want to fix, they say it is normal. Is there a tsb for this because the noise is very irritating?

It's not normal. That's their way of not doing the warranty work.

Another dealer??? If it's normal, then the new '08's sitting on the lot would be doing it too right?? Normal or not, why should you have to put up with it after dropping $50k for it. Normal or not, it CAN be fixed. If it can be fixed, they need to get off their tails and fix it, right??? It's hard to tell you what to do but you need to keep an eye on them if you do get them to fix it because they might try to rake your wallet with a rediculous bill that you can dispute if you watch the repair even if from standing outside the shop.

Like pops said, another dealer. If not Stay on them. Ask for the head mechanic, and the maintenence department manager. Get them to put it in writing if they think it is normal. There are several links here where the seats were repaired due to noise. If I find one, I will post it or edit this one.

Here is the only TSB for the seat. (You will have to join Nissanhelp if you already haven't)
