hi there,
you nice people and Nissan/Infiniti owners.
I need your help again:
After my QX showed me the yellow "service engine soon" sign in the gauch
(very right side at the bottom of the Instrumentpanel)
I brought it to the Nissan dealership for service.
But those guys have no Idear, how they can "switch of this "service engine soon" sign.
No way with the diagnoses reader.
Does anybody know how that could work?
Thanks for answers, Andreas.
P.S. got a wood-set from Jason Burtman: super super

You can reset the light yourself. Look at this link, in our how to section. Follow the instructions carefully; its not hard, just read through the procedure until you understand it, then do it. If you get the code post it back and I will tell you what it is. Here is the link:

@scr38
Hi,
I did it and it worked so far.
But after erasing the ses sign it comes back after about 30 seconds to one minute.
So far I figured the folling codes:
6805, than
1051, than
0000, than
6805.
I gues I have to say, that this sign showed up last friday after a specialised
company installed a what we call "Autogas Anlage"
That means that the car has a second tank now and can drive with LPG
(Liquid Petrolium Gas). The system is equiped with a so called "Flash Loop"
which cooles down the walves.
This technic is very common in Europe.
LPG costs half the prize of gas
Any idea?

I don't think you are reading the codes correctly. There is no code 6805. Code 0000 means that there is no problem. Code 1051 means that there is a problem with A/F sensor1, bank 2. That is the front oxygen sensor on the right side of the engine. You may try reading the codes again. Your dealer should be able to read the codes by connecting the Consult 2 programmer.

I don't think its the dealership. His location says Germany and I don't think they sell this truck there yet. Likely they are just unfamiliar with the diagnostics.

Hello there,
happy new year to everyone!!
Meanwhile the Nissan-mechanics have checked the Codes.
1. 1051
2. 1168
I have ordered the A/F sensor1, bank 2. (oxygen sensor)
This sensor does not work. It stands still while the engine is running and I step
on the gas. The diagnostic computer shows 0.610 all the time, which implicates
that the engine is cold - which was not the case.
I guess when they replace the A/F Sensor, everything should be ok again...
For our Nissan guys here in Germany, this car is kind of an exiting adventure!
We have nothing simular here.
The biggest Nissan sold in Germany is the Pathfinder 4.0
I love this car... the ride is awsome....

By the way: we pay 5.40 Dollar per Gallon of 95 Octan Gas (or 4.50 €)

Glad they found the problem. Code 1168 is the Closed Loop, bank 2. Both codes should be eliminated when they replace the sensor.
