Hey i have a quick question, Does a spoiler really do anything other than looks?

BY the looks of it it should create some downforce

Correct it will, but probably only at speeds of 80 mph+, hehe. The main thing is does it help keep all that dust/dirt/grime from building up on the rear window, and also helps when it's raining.

Jason B, these are painted with factory paint? If I get the Galaxy it will have the four different metal flakes in the paint just like my truck? Thanks!

They key is the "Color Code" which is G10 for your black paint. It's dupont paint, one of the best. I've sold more black that any other color and it will look great.

I bought and installed one of Jason's rear spoilers. For those worrying about paint match, it was a *perfect* match for the Tuscan Pearl, including the metallic content (not such an easy task). Installation was very straightforward. My wife and I installed it in less than 5 minutes.

Unfortunately, I haven't yet been able to test the spoiler in rainy or snowy conditions since I had to leave on a business trip right after completing the installation. I'm hoping that it will reduce the amount of moisture that makes it to the rear window. Will report back once I'm back driving the QX.

Attached are a couple of images after the installation. Nice job on the spoiler, Jason. I'm a happy customer!

yes, please let us know if the rear window stays cleaner with the rear spoiler. If it does, I may get one.

I think I've seen someone post that it does not help keep the window clean. Everyone has been very happy with it though. If you got the $$$, get it. Personally, I think it looks really nice. Here's more comments:

I installed this on a friends QX and he did say it helps keep the grime build-up down on the rear window.

They looks like Vettes to me with the top one being late '80's-'90's and the bottom one being a '70's or early '80's Stingray.

Close, Pops.

Just a couple of hibernating toys:
- 1996 Corvette Grand Sport convertible
- 2002 Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa

Incredible taste!!! Here's some trivia: I was told once by a GM Production Employee that the floor in that Vette of yours is made of Balsa Wood wrapped inside Aluminum. He said it was done for weight savings and the Balsa created a great lightweight core inside the aluminum. I've never verified if it's true but it sounds very creative and interesting.

The balsa-core floor started with the C5 generation in 1997 and continues in today's Corvettes (mine is a 1996 C4, so no balsa). That technology has been used in boats for a number of years and represents an excellent means of saving weight without sacrificing strength.

Nice pictures, I may have to add those to the website.

Feel free to use the pictures, Jason. I used my old Canon P&S for those shots and will take additional pictures this weekend using a much better camera. Let me know if you'd prefer to have the newer images and I'll send them your way.

I concur; it does not keep the window clean, but boy does it look hot. I installed it on mine and really love the way it looks! I will be adding pics shortly. My mods to date are: blonde woodgrain for interior, LED interior lights, 22" wheels w/Yokahoma tires, rear spoiler, chrome foglight inserts, HID lighting, Luminic yellow fogs (really hot), chrome side pillars. Mesh grill (upper and lower), larger brakes, leather seating, new Bilstein shocks are next on the list.

I drove on wet, salty roads today. The new spoiler does help a little, but I still needed to turn on the rear wiper in order to see out the back window. I wonder how Toyota does it on the Sequoia; in six years I'll bet I only turned on the rear wiper twice.

Ah well, it still looks cool. ;)
