Just an idea (I don't do it often), maybe we should have a decal made up for our club. The last web group I belonged to was so big we had state chapters (dodge ram hemi clubs). I think that the Nissan Armada crew should stick together and who knows in our travels we may come accross one another. Something trendy, not just a name. If I come up with somthing I will post a picture of it. I think with the crew we have going that we should get some pretty good ideas and then vote on it.
I have one for my business on the back, but I think this might be really cool to see fellow members around the country. :D

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I have been busy with other projects, and I wanted to see what kind of interest there is. I should have some designs by next week. Or do we just want to go with the "Club Titan" type to keep uniformity between Nissan groups? I basically can get any font we want colors, etc. The price increases or decreases with the design. Please be patient I want these too look classy as well as trendy.
Anybody feel free to submit anything. We have a good group here with lots of ideas...mine aren't the only ones

I like the vinyl letters-only type decals. I would not put a typical "bumper sticker" on my Armada, that's for sure! Perhaps something small, yet bold, for the rear window? Maybe the color of the letters could be the same as the vehicle (custom ordered, of course).

I've had decals made for aircraft before, and my local sign shop makes them out of high-speed vinyl (it will stay on a 767 at 590mph). I can submit artwork to them in JPEG format and have decals ready within an hour or two. Their prices are very reasonable too. I've had them cut letters for 12" registration numbers on aircraft (a total of ten 12" letters) and they've typically been less than a hundred bucks, so a ClubArmada.com decal could be VERY cheap. I'll look into it.

The idea of having ClubArmada match ClubTitan appeals to me as well. Someone (Mack??) did a great job on the ClubTitan decals.

You guys let me know. If you like the basic letters decal I can get them pretty quick. Like I said only about $3.00 shipped per decal. The ClubTitan.org stickers sold pretty well. I am about to order some more of them. Let me know and I could order the ClubArmada.com stickers as well. No biggie if you guys want to try something different though.

I can have my companies graphic artist put one together if I can get some input to what it should look like.
But someone else would have to go get them made and take care of all that stuff.

How about using the Armada grill for the graphic?

I like that idea - when I bought my 04, (private party) the owners took the frame and even the screws!! I haven't gotten my Lincense plate yet but I would buy a frame from the club for sure.
Also, earlier in the thread it was mentioned that we could try to get together at some point. It reminded me... my brother is a private pilot and he goes to these "Fly-in's" where the plane owners get together and mingle and look at merchandise and display their planes etc. It may take some doing getting it together but it would be cool. Maybe it would help if we looked at combining the Titan and Armada folks.

seems like the interest in this thread goes up and down from week to week and ideas keep changing from decals, to license plate frames to bumper stickers. I think we need to get some options laid out and put them to a vote. How about we pick 4 or 5 diff ideas and put them to a vote. Then we can focus on getting the most popular one created?

I like the direction of the middle one too. A couple suggestions - Make the "C" a bit larger (keep top line about where it is an make the bottom part of the larger "C" cross lower on the "A") and stylize it a bit like the Anarchy symbol "A" with the circle :D
Font is too busy, something more like the Armada font on the tailgate perhaps.

thanks .. I think the decal/sticker has to be white (or a light color) no matter what (inside or outside) to be able to be seen against the tinted windows .. the window cling material I have .. can be afixed either way .. inside or outside ..

it just depends on which side the printing is put on ..

I do not know how to post a poll. I have put a JPG together with what I think should be on the pole. I put a "just start over vote", there has just been a hand full of us working on this and I want it to represent the "Club" so I would be willing to start over or edit the logos.

It's great to see all you guys sharing ideas on a sticker. One thing we need to remember - any decal, sticker, etc that has ClubArmada on it will have to have final approval by M4CK. After all he is the creator of this site and pays the bills that allow us to be here. So if you all agree on a design, run it by M4CK before you start having them made.

1. Cling or sticker will be easily removed from glass. I think we should go with the most cost effective.
2/3. The CA and Club Armada.com, I think works well. All will and should be deiced by M4CK
4/5. Clear with a white logo/text or a cut out of white. All our windows are black. Silver might be the only other choice.
6. Each owner decides; some will not even use it. The "clean" look looks good also.

Home made "cling decals" ...

As mentioned previously .. I decided to experiment w/clear window decals product available at local Staples .. these are quick-n-dirty .. I just cut the decals out w/o attempting to do a detailed "trim" job.

Unfortunately, I can't print "white color" ?? So I went w/yellow .. which isn't bright enough to contrast against the windows nor the red brawn of my armada .. so I placed the decals on my z31 ..


IMO .. to get the contrast against the tinted windows or in the majority of body colors .. the decal should be "white" .. or "chrome color" ..

I also feel it (decal) would have to be applied on the outside (exterior) versus inside (ie see the decal through the window) ..

This is a simple font I found in Corel. Looks great when there is no fill in the background. The outline color can match the color of your Armada or it can be the fill in color.

I was wondering if there should be another lettering or Initials in the background OR fill the length of the background?

Well I like basic stuff as most know. I am not into stuff thats really bling bling or showy. I like these though. I love how the roofline of the Armada was used. I really like the basic lettering though with just a twist with the larger Armada letters, very crisp, minimal but perfect. Also something like that would be easy to get done and cost you guys less. I'm just waiting for you guys to narrow it down though. Its not going on my Titan so you need to let me know what you guys want.

Well that settles it! Basically 2 ideas .. the simple "words only" and the "armada roofline". No polling needed if we (?) go w/both of 'em. The big question .. who's gonna get the quotes to get either (or both) done. Is the artwork (say for the armada roofline) sufficient or is more work needed and can it be done??

If these are done as window clings .. I'll get one of each (at least) .. that way I can switch 'em as desired ...

I think the roofline decal is very innovative. Although IMHO... I was thinking it would do a couple things to do a simple lettering type logo (even if it's not the one I did)

1. It is much cheaper for printing.
2. It is very recognizable, and clear.
3. Very easy to have shirts, hats, etc printed (in the future)
4. This file is an vector format, there for making it very easy to make sizes from 2 inches (car window), to 5 feet (a banner) and not loose any quality in the decal. I am assuming the roofline decal has a raster image??

Either way, I will sport on my ride whatever decal we come up with :)

It's been a while since I've stopped in here. I friken dig this one! even the simpler C. I like the cling idea but I know you won't be able to see it through the factory tint. I have a parking permit that is white that you can't see from 3-feet away.

You can put clings on the outside so they can bee seen. Supposedly will hold on at 150 mph or better yet 250 on a jet plane. So m4ck did not veto the first two ('a' and 'b') he just personally liked these two. Still think a vote would be fair ('a', 'b', roofline, clubARMADA.com).

Just want to let you guys know that hopefully in the next week or so we might be able to start offering you guys decals. I am in contact with a site that will make and sell them and split the earnings with us to help support the site. Doesn't sound like they will be too high either. Looks like about $6 to $9 a piece I think. Waiting on samples and feedback from the owner of the site. Need to make sure the designs will work.

Well basically everyone voted on the site a while back. These 2 designs pretty much won and I am working to get them both made so people have a choice.

This was the final design that I had come up with that some preferred to the origianal design. M4ck, I sent it to you via PM. I had deleted everything, cause I didn't think it was going to get printed, since everything got a butt woopin' by Onyochin's design.
