Seems rediculous that I even have to suggest this on this site, but it seems we are already a forum divided when it comes to the 2WD vs. 4WD versions of the Armada so why not add two new sub sections of the same name. Grant it there are some both sides of the fence peeps that can play nice and respect the opinions of others but then we got a few hardcore types on either side that just can't seem to play nice together so maybe we should have a way to separate them and reduce the useless rhetoric that clogs up legitimate posts. Just a thought gang please let the opinions fly and see if we have any interest.

I don't personally see the need. I think the general and off-topic sections can be used but I'm just one person so let others way in. Really the only reason I vote no is because I think the home page is already long enough and I just hit new post when I come in so regardless on where it's posted I'll see it.

Believe me I pondered all of this as well before posting and realized that the boundries or lack there of in the off-topic and general discussion areas tend not to hold back the attitudes of some. Like you, I often just hit the new posts button and start rapping away at the keyboard only to find out later that I just spent five minutes writing to the Pathy guys about an unrelated topic. So after I delete delete I find where I belong and move on, I would hope with these new sections that those who don't agree with either versions opinions would do the same.

In the word's of Homey 'da Clown... "I don't think so!" I just think that it would be a waste. Do you really think that a little section title will keep any of the 'extremists' from posting their opinion? Really is it necessary anyway? It's only a forum, it's not like the guy/gal is showing up on your doorstep trying to pick a fight. Just thicken your skin up a bit and let the opinions fly.

I'll add a NO vote for this as well. Simply because it will isolate information that may be useful to all members.
If a post has useful info for all owners, but happens to be posted in a 4x4 category, then many 4x2 owners might miss out because they wouldn't necessarily read all the 4x4 postings.
I also agree that there are already enough headings on the main page.

Yeah, personally I do think a separate section would keep the extremists at bay, that's why I suggested it. Thick skin huh? Spent three years flying around Afghanistan at low alttitude trolling for triple A and SAM's....think I'm good. Being a Vet yourself you should know its not about feelings its about respect. There's a big difference between giving your humble opinion that you disagree or feel that doesn't go with the truck and saying that's "Ghetto" or "are you a Rapper?" Yes, I know its difficult to grasp that I'm a Warfighting Liberal, but that's who I am.

Sounds good to me. Good Idea. :goodjob:
Most of my pokes at 2wd are in jest. I get it myself from JetSki guys who ride the stand up versions. They call my sit down jetski a couch.

Casino,
I don't think we are so different. When I talk of thick skin, I am referring to the differences of opinions (although many beat a dead horse to soap on this forum, and I would consider it banter and would prefer to just move on). As you have mentioned, the stereotypical references to a culture based on how their vehicle is outfitted is ridiculous. However, I am not ignorant enough to think that there are not culture differences in many ways, you just can't associate a particular 'trend' these days with any particular group. To me it's more generational than cultural. And there is nothing wrong with a Liberal Vet, they do exist (although I don't like to claim either sides of the spectrum). I'd call myself a moderate.
