: Dream Mods
Evolution 02-27-2006, 03:08 PM Newbie and ignorant so bear with me.
Ok guys, here is the first question.
If money was no object, what combination of mods would you have? And I mean anything you can think of. I am hoping to buy a used Armada and use the rest of the cash to soup it up.
Second.
Are there any Mods that don't go well together? I really don't know much about engines and would like to know what components don't fit.
Thanx for your time and patience.
scr38 02-27-2006, 04:06 PM 1. Good cold air intake
2. Good cat back exhaust system
3. Stillen supercharger
4. Better wheels/tires
That would be a good start - about about $10,000
ggeorgie 02-27-2006, 05:20 PM I second that, and welcome
jcvader99 02-27-2006, 10:49 PM I know you are probably looking for more mechanical things, but one thing I haven't seen much of around here, but would LOVE to have is a TRACVision Mobile Satellite receiver for my 'Mada.

I've seen alot of people put regular TV tuners in, but haven't seen anyone with one of these. I'd like to see one in action, in motion, to see how good it really is.
As for price, I think you have to drop about $2500 to get it installed, but then just pay standard DirecTV monthly for the service.
rp718 02-28-2006, 06:31 PM I would also add a good (not JBA) set of equal length headers.
Evolution 02-28-2006, 11:26 PM Thank very much for your responses guys.
I was afraid that I might get told to do a search you nooB.
And I didn't know which keywords to use to get a perfect combo.

2. Good cat back exhaust system
3. Stillen supercharger
4. Better wheels/tires
That would be a good start - about about $10,000
Thanx. As for the first three, how would they affect fuel consumbtion?
Would headers fight in with this combo?
Also, I was wondering if there is an airbag suspension kit that I can fit on the 'Mada. I don't want to have much gap between the tires and well, but I also need clearance every once in a while if I do any sand driving. So is there any kit that would give me stability and looks on the road and height for the sand?
'ppreciated
(Edit: Any sites you recommend to NooBs that explain what the mods do?)
rp718 03-01-2006, 06:20 PM Mileage would get worse.
1) Blowers are power driven, therefore the engine has to work a little harder to turn 'em.
2) Blowers force more air into the cylinders, and the computer senses that and adds more fuel to normalize the mixture.
One benefit to mileage is that you'll be makin so f'n much power, you'll probably be able to coast uphill with your foot off the gas.

Evolution 03-04-2006, 03:12 PM Well? Does anyone have any feedback as to the airbag suspension and a good (NooB) info site for Perf Mods?
I'm surprised...I have surfed this site a lot, and don't recall seeing any unanswered questions (sometimes even by people who shouldn't BE answering questions HeHehe).
Worst I've seen here, was "wait until some one tries the product for feedback"
:D
So?
chrisarmada 04-02-2006, 05:09 AM My last truck was a Nissan Frontier SC (factory blower) King cab. As far as mileage goes it was rated about 1 mpg below the normally aspirated version. But in practice here is the difference. No matter how you drive the blown truck you get 18 mpg. Baby it on the highway, 18mpg. Spirited romps in the city, 18mpg. It makes it much less critical how you drive. I notice on my Mada driving style is very critical when it comes to mileage so it would be a nice change to not worry about that at a very slight penalty. Also if you do any mountain driving you will love having just as much power at the top of the mountain as you do at the bottom.

scr38 04-02-2006, 07:33 AM At this time there is no air bag suspension on the market for the Armada.
