Question:

When you close your rear gate, do you just let it fall, or do you have to sort of slam it to get it to latch completely closed?

I just push the close button and walk off :) Usally I use the remote...It's worth the extra $ for the option.

Yeah, boy I wish I would have gotten the LE with leather and all the goodies. I was already at a disadvantage as I was trading a late model Tahoe with lots of highway miles, so I just couldn't swing the note.

When it's cold out, my gate gets stuck halfway up. No matter the temperature, it takes a little swing to get the gate closed all the way.

I hear ya, I went in looking for a base LE and ended up with a loaded one.

I have an LE with the standard power gate but just for fun I tried closing the gate manually and it was a less than easy task. It actually took a great deal of effort to secure it in that manner. My take is that since the big lawsuit over that minivan gate that kept ejecting little kids into traffic, new gates probably have strict guidelines on there function. If its open its open, if its closed it really is closed!! Overall I'd say this is a very good thing. Reguardless I will just hit my button from now on and let the motor do the work (sorry base SE guys)!

The QX56 has 315hp but the Armada has 305hp....can any mods be done to produce the extra 10hp for the Armada? This sounds possible since the motor is the same. :confused: I have a 04' Armada SE, Tow Package, Sunroof Package, Leather. Can the automatic rear liftgate be added by the dealer? Also, Where can I get some custom V8 logos for my 04' Armada? :D

Question 1 - you already get better than 315hp. Lots of people have had their dyno'd showing result close to 350 without mods. The Q uses premium gas only so it probably has a computer tweek. Larger exhaust, air intake will give you a boost.

Question 2- Cost is probably the only thing that would make adding the power lift gate hard to do.

Question 3- dealer or ebay, on ebay check both armada and titan.

Thanks llajumpvid. I wish I would have been able to get the auto rear lift gate. This bites because I have the sunroof package and now the 05' has this added the remote gate to this package. Only wish I knew If it was prewired. If anyone else has more info on adding the power gate, please let me know.

I also wanted to tint the front window the same as the back. Is 20% this tint? And if so, Who can do a Quality job at a good price(dealer?). I do not want any bubbles or scratches.
