My 04 Armada's wiper spray does not spray. In fact I runs like a river. Is this normal(which it shouldn't be for a 40K suv) or do I need to get this replaced?

Mine does the same thing. The front ones are so good I'm surprised the rear is so bad.

I think they are designed that way on purpose. Going down the road at highway speed there is a large "burble" formed behind the car. This tends to make the spray disperse and you won't get as much water on the window. Where as the stream won't get pulled away from the window....that's just my hypothesis. All of the hatched SUV's I've owned have been like this.

Interesting theory -- and you're probably right. My Jeep GC operated exactly the same way...just a weak dribble of fluid onto the rear window.

You are exactly Right !!! They are designed to perform that way for the reasons you stated.

I think all of those rear ones are the same on every car. My mom's crv does that, my gf's rsx does it also. It's normal.
