I have been noticing that the beast gets unsettled over bad/uneven pavement and particularly going over small speed bumps. Its pretty smooth on the hwy and I know it has alot to do with the IRS and the fact that I am driving a vehicle well over two tons but I have been reading over at the titan forums about helper springs that seem to smooth things out a bit. I know alot of parts are interchangeable between these two vehicles and I know the helper springs are a generic part so I am 99% sure there will be no fitment issues but I am wondering if anyone here has done this mod and the results...........

The helper springs discussed on ClubTitan won't work on an Armada. The Titan has leaf springs on the rear. Tha Armada, with an independant rear axle, has coil springs.

thanks for the info, thats a huge difference I didn't know about. I wonder if stiffer struts/shocks or possibly a slightly stiffer rear sway bar might tighten up the rear end a bit. I am not trying to make the beast handle like a G35, but the rear really does get unsettled at low to moderate speeds on bad or uneven pavement. I might let the dealer have a look when I go for my 1st oil change or is this something I should get used to?

Check your tire pressures. It should be 35-37. Higher pressure will cause harshness, but don't lower the pressure below 35. Also the stock Conti tires are a little harsh, many have reported a much better ride/handling after installing better tires.

Thanks, I guess I haven't really checked all of the basics and I didn't even think of tire pressure. I will definitely look into a tire upgrade if it helps resolve my issues. Its really an awesome truck, and we have had a great time traveling in the beast. Its our first, but I think we might be truck people for life now the utility is unbeatable :D
