Can any1 tell me the sizes of the stock speakers in the Mada? And can you hook up a 400watt amp and capacitor to the stock system, does it have RCA connections? I also want to run a single 10" JL in the back for clean crisp jazz to be played.

i don't think the stock have an RCA output but if you want to add amp you have to install line output converter like what i did. i think the stock speakers are 6 1/2.

6.5 fit in the doors front and back. I've also heard of 7" and 6x9 fitting also. Stick to 6.5 seperates with tweets in dash if you want quality sound. As for the amp and cap, you will need a converter to use the stock Panasonic(Bose) CD. Like all stock systems, it doesn't have RCA out. JL makes one, but it costs almost as much as a deck. The JL stealthbox in the rear will sound great. If you want some truly good quality speakers for the front, I'd look at Focal 165w2, 165w3 or 180w2 Utopias and use a JL 300/4 amp for the seperates and a JL 500/1 for the sub.

Finally something I can contribute too! LOL
I don't have an Armada *YET* but the speakers are:
2 6x9 in the front
2 6.5 in the rear
1.5 inch tweeters in the rear
5.25 woofer under the seat
2.5 inch mid/high range (twiddler) on each side of the instrument panel
3 inch mid/high range (twiddler) centerfill speaker in the middle of instrument panel
Hope that helps. Here is a .pdf schematic of the system: http://www.nissannews.com/nissan/technology/2004_Armada_Bose_Highlights.pdf

I have a 06 LE
the fronts are 5x7
the second row doors are 6.5
because the signal is so low from the head unit I tied in rca's directly to the wires, i tried a few line converters and i kept getting noise.
If you can replace the head unit, you will never be happy until you do, they still dont make a kit for 06 le with the climate control:(

Thanks bg1906 and jameeler. I like your ride setup. The dash cover wouldnt fit back in place? And where did you hide the MTX sub? Id like to hide mine and still be able to throw up and down the 3rd row seats.

I thought the front doors were 6x9's? Did they change for 2006?
Also, PAC makes an inline plug-in LOC for Nissans. No wire cutting!
