Are they really illegal. I was thinking of saving some chips for them. If thats the case Ill stick to stock.

they're legal, but the light output is basically the same as stock.

they are legal but they might light up less then stock and they burn out quickly just think how many hondas u see with those kind of lights and only one headlight working at night

the light housing is legal, once you put HID bulbs in those, they become illegal, HID headlights are illegal unless they come installed from factory in the vehicle.

Correct. The HIDs make them illegal. Its illegal to upgrade any vehicle with HIDs as the headlight housings generally aren't designed with deflectors. Our low beams have them, but high beams don't. Cops will pretty much leave you alone with HID lows but you can still get a ticket. HID highs or using housings without deflectors and HIDS are begging for tickets. These have deflectors I believe, but would attract more attention than the stock when used with HID. Without HID, I can't see them giving more light, probably less. If you want the highest amount of legal light, get PIAA bulbs. If you want style, get the housings. If you want HIDs, you may want to stick with stock housings. Last, 4300k HID has the most light. Its the stock color for the QX and Merc, BMW, etc. Going up in K to 6000K plus goes more blue then purple and you get less light the higher you go. The purple typically has less light than stock Halogens. ;)

just wanted to bring this topic back up again and get a consensus on them. i know some titan folks have them but i dont have a titan and would love to hear from the armada owners out there what you guys think about these. nevermind the light output.. just asking how you think they would look and if you have thought or thinking of getting some. thank you...

I think they look a little ghetto trashy and low grade. But that's me. I'm not about "pimpin'" a ride. I'm more the VW unpimp guy. ;)
I think these things with the tailights and huge rims will soon die the tacky death of spinners, wings on civics, etc.

Since you asked my opinion, I like my stock lights just fine as they are. I may installed better bulbs once the stock ones burn out, but for now the stocks are fine. Why pi$$ away money on some thing that puts out less light and burns out prematurely?? I may feel different in a couple of years when the stock lenses starts to milk over and there is a better light on the market?? Until then No Thanks:D

I love my HID's in my stock housing. I have the SIlverstars for high beams and fog lights....Great lighting over stock.

I've only seen them on Ebay. I've seen them as low as $138 + shipping. Normally about $200.

I think I saw someone on this site post some pictures of these. I think they look pretty good. They are very tame and not in your face like some other mods.

I have them on mine. I disabled the 3 leds and swapped out the halogen projector with real HID projectors. I like the look of them on my truck.
