Seems kind of pricey, especially when you can buy one like this right here for 80% less and it dies the same thing

They both work the same way - by extracting money from your wallet! And neither does anything beneficial. The cheap one is a variable resistor. It's supposed to "trick" the engine and enhance fuel/oxygen delivery. It just tricks the customer and could potentially harm your engine.

The more expensive one has been extensively tested by Titan owners on another board. Although it claims to be a complete remapping of the ECU, those tests failed to show any gains and in most instances a slight degrading of performance. PM me and I'll tell you which board. You can search there and draw your own conclusions.

The aftermarket is having a hard time cracking the code on our ECU's. Eventually we will get something that works. There are some products which potentiually offer some promise, but they are still in development, IMHO.

I wouldn't put stock in any performance chip. They all seem to be a little on the gimmick side and only serve to relieve the buyer of cash!

There were about 3 members over at the Titan site that tried the Unichip. All reported it no good. One member, RBsTitan did a dyno and with Unichip on there he lost some HP.
