hello! we've owned and enjoyed our '04 le armada for 2 years now. everything is fine except for the following:
1. bumpiness even with small/shallow potholes. is there anyway the suspension may be softened or something similar?
2. does anyone know of anybody who modifies the third row bench enabling it to split? with my 4 young children and my wife, we only need one seat on the third row and the rest of the space could be well utilized for the extra items my children need for the frequent road trips.
3. how do you minimize vibration of the pulldown video monitor?
4. how do you adjust the sensitivity of the rear sonar? does anybody sell a rear camera kit that can be easily integrated into the nav monitor?
thanks a lot!!!

Wow, two years and you got a little list going.
1. The bumpiness there is a TSB that may address your problem. I am not sure if it covers 04s but check with the dealer.:
Service Bulletin Num : 05097
Date of Bulletin: OCT 27, 2005
Component: BODY: SUSPENSION
Summary: NISSAN TITAN AND NISSAN ARMADA; CAM BOLTS FOR FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
2. Split Seat: You can order a split 3rd row seat from Nissan.
3. Monitor Vibration. Do a search in the forums for monitor vibration. There is a solution posted some time ago for it.
4. I am not sure if the sensitivity can be adjusted.

I hope this helps some. I am also sure you will get a lot of info here for your situation.

but these are minor issues i really can live with! i'll mention tsb when i get back to the dealer next week for my noisy aircon (part on order). re the vibrating pull down monitor, i think i saw the posting before, which i believe entails an extensive work (opening the ceiling, putting a firmer bar, etc) but i can not seem to find the post now! re the 3rd row split bench, i asked my dealer this week, they said they do not know how i would be able to get it. i learned somewhere that it may involve drilling on the armada floor (with risk of hitting sensitive lines or worst the gas tank!)...

I feel you on the drilling thing! You will probably have to look at an 05 or 06 to see if the bolt pattern is the same. Since the Armada has only been around for three years, chances of finding seats is slim.

Oh yeah, the forum does seem to have a lot of complicated solutions for the vibration, but all for aftermarket DVD systems.

You got the experiment model year. The 04 seems to have 7 pages of TSBs.

Look through them when you get a chance. I didn't find one on your monitor vibration, but folks have claimed to have the repair done because of a TSB.

Hey man good luck.

I'm glad the 06 has it split, I have only had the thing 2 weeks and have already used the split function. I had 7 people in the vehicle and the ice chest wouldn't quite fit in the rear. I dropped the small side and viola. Good thing I had two skinny kids who fit in the remaining two seats back there :D

i wish i had the same split bench. have you compared how the '04 bench and yours are mounted? is it possible to mount an '06 split bench to an '04 model (wishfully i find one). have you heard of any '06 armada that was totalled? maybe i can check with our local salvage company...
