I replaced my entire original sun roof because it was damage in the accident, however I replaced with anotherone. the one I put on came with everything, the glass, the rails the sun shade, and it is motor and own connection. Soon asfter i installed it and check it din't work, however, if I do a by pass without using the switch it works, but when I use the switch it does not work. Can someone please tell me what the problem may be. I will appreciate very much your help. Thanks

sounds like something with the wiring is not working right since your windows is doing the samething. must be wiring/grounding problems?

I check all the wiring and they are ok

Finally my sun roof is working it was a group of electrical items that were not working, but finally I was able to find the problem and the solution. It was the BCM. The BCM contrlled the power doors locks, the power doors windows, sun roof and others.

MY sunroof on my 2004 Armada LE did not work after I had my veichle in for service. I called the service dept. I told them that it would not open but a quarter of an inch for every press on the switch. They told me it needed a new switch. I drove 54 miles and they looked at it then called the tech over. He said oh it is ok, just hold down on the switch for one minute and the computer would reset, which it did and worked fine after. They said sorry you had to drive 108 miles just for this but we, the service dept. didn't know

glad to hear you guys got it working again. I guess we have to complain to dealers about the lack of knowledge from their mechanics or lack of knowledge on the TSB's. It seems to me that only managers are aware of them....
