What is the size of 05 pathy tow hitch? can I use universal 2 inches?

Now Im planning to buy Westin bull bar with skid plate and a hitch step bar and in one forum they are debating that these bull bar and step bar will affect your safety because it will affect the Front and rear crumple zones during collision. In page 9-20 of pathy manual "the hitch should not be attached to or affect the operation of the impact absorbing bumper" does it mean nissan is not allowing us to use bull bar etc for safety reason? anyone? before i place my order. t.y

Nissan sells a brush guard so a bull bar shouldn't be any different.

If you read the fine print that come with these brushguard, bullbar. It's "Design for look only and not for protections".:D
