Just installed a Pioneer AVICZ1 in an 05 Armada with a factory overhead screen and dvd player. Is there anyway to allow the overhead and rear controls to still work. Please help!!!!!!!!

Not that I know of. It like having satellite receiver and trying to use a cable box remote control. The only way the it might be possible is there is a device that some aftermarket HU can use to keep the steering wheel controls funtional. Don't know who makes it or what its called for sure but try google???

Well, I got the video working just by giving the "FES ON" wire 6 volts. Still no audio though. I found the FES left and right audio wires and put on RCA connectors and plugged them into to the AUX IN on my AVICZ1. I thought I was in good shape but unfortunately - no audio. I have my steering wheel controls working. This vehicle is a biatch, its almost worse than my silverado. I'm gonna have one pissed off customer if I can't get this audio working. Does anyone have the full wiring schematic for the FES plug that goes into the factory radio?????

In case anyone is wandering, I finally got this whole thing woking. I had to give the "FES ON" wire 5 volts, this will enable the audio from the harness behind the radio and video to the monitor. As for the factory infrared transmitter, I couldn't get that to work but solved the problem with an aftermarket IR transmitter which is getting its audio signal from the FES harness behind the radio. I also couldn't get the dvd controls that are mounted in front of the screen to work, but the remote still works. Also, the rear AC controls work fine.
