so i got hit on the left side couple of weeks ago...damaged my rear driver side door and the rear quarter panel... now i am looking to get the door and the rear quarter panel from somewhere, get it painted and mae it look nice and pretty all over again...

question though...

which one do i need to get ?? number 1 or number 5 ?? 1= door shell and 5=outer panel.... ummm which is which ...help please... oh...by the way , i need to replace all the metal door, i mean, the plastic interior and glass is everything ok, just the metal door if that helps...

Best as I can tell.....1 is the whole door piece minus trim.

And 5 is just the outer door skin. You can get away with the outer door skin probably, however, it will take a real bodyman to weld/glue the skin to your existing door. I'd contact those guys just to be sure though.

thats what i though...i think ill get the whole thing... #1, the idea is to make it look right and i dont wnat to have to deal with body work and stuff, if it was something easy yeah maybe but it is pretty bad...

Luigi, when I got tboned, the body shop just replaced the outer skin on the rear door (had to replace the front door) but they have to weld it to the inner skin. If you are going to replace it yourself, i would go with the whole door.

thanks...yeah i think i will go for the whole door, i will put it on myself and all but get it painted by the right people (read= not the dealer's body shop) and all... besides the inside of the door is also banged up so it wouldnt be worth to just replace the outer part... if i am going to fix it ill either fix it right or just leave it alone...
