: Smoke'd
Matrix 12-02-2006, 05:19 PM :051: Has anyone have any stories about getting smoke'd in your Mada?
The other day I got smoke'd by a car length by a Subaru WRX...I was on the line and I pulled on him for a second then all I heard was his blow-off valve squeek and he blew out the hole. Beat me by one car length. I know he was all hooked up because of the race look he had. I feel good that it was a car. It was like a pocket rocket vs a rice rocket. Im stock so I don't feel that bad...I still got smoke'd.:machinegu
Later in the day on my way home from work a BMW SUV wanted some....I only let him taste my beast...I blew out the hole new I had him, didnt waste my time on 1 car length and pushed the brakes and heard his ride whining and starving for power...sorry BMW...you got smoked.:051:
trueblue01gt 12-02-2006, 05:33 PM i smoked everyone off the line yesterday in all athe snow
norcal05SE 12-02-2006, 07:45 PM got beat by a tahoe two days after buyin it. we stopped at the next light, guy rolls down his window and says, dont worry man, i got a blower on it. for a moment i almost regreted my purchase!!!
spta97 12-02-2006, 08:07 PM SUV vs. SUV is one thing, but to take on a WRX is quite another. WRX's can sometimes take my M3 off the line (the STi) version. I remember I could not lose this POS civic in my M3 (I think he had nitros or a blower or something). We both gave the thumbs up for a good race.
Suffice it to say the Armada is one quick beast. How is it against the new Escalade?

Cillyone 12-02-2006, 10:50 PM FYI, at least in California. "Street racing law"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starting January 1, 2006 new California vehicle laws will go into effect.
The new law will extend the penalty to not less than 30 days nor more than 6 months, or by a fine, or by both fine and imprisonment, if a person is convicted of engaging in a motor vehicle speed contest and that violation proximately causes bodily injury to a person other than the driver.
Community service of 40 hours will also be required and the privilege to operate a motor vehicle may be suspended for 90 days to six months.
If a repeat violation occurs within 5 years of the date of a prior offense it will result in imprisonment in a county jail for not less than 30 days nor more than 6 months and there will be a specified fine.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am sure the Insurance companies will lay down $ome hurt too.

He must not have been trying. His 0-60 time is about a second and a half faster then yours.

Nice! Maybe we open a CA track in Ca so Madas can smoke other SUVs. We can invite CR to the races so they can see some real world performance.

Matrix 12-03-2006, 07:47 PM Ok now I have that clear. So WRX is fast then and no way I would have a chance with those rice burner machines out there. Has anybody went up against any other rice-cracker machines?

A regular WRX (NOT STI) is a high 14 sec car all day, the STI is a mid to low 13 sec car with a good driver.

Wouldn't really call a car with that much Rally heritage a "rice burner".
