Well I picked up my 20 footer boat today and drove it home 180 miles in the rain....

verdict... I forgot I was towing anything half the time....

Boat and trailer were around 4500LBs, tandem axle...

light wind from the south, never had any sway...

My new TOW mirrors were awesome and I would never tow without them... the wide angle lens shows everything including the idiots merging into the freeway that wanted to beat me... some people just don't know that the merging lane is YIELD....

Mostly drove in 4th although I tried using OD and the transmission never heated up but I didn't like the sound of the engine... sounded somewhat strained at 1800rpm vs 2000rpm in 4th gear....

I love my TRUCK!!!

Cool! Yes the Armada is a great tow vehicle. Did you install the mirrors yourself?

Yes I installed the mirrors myself... took me one hour for the first side and 30 mins for the 2nd side since I already knew how to remove the stupid door...

My rearview mirror was all boat so I really needed the tow mirror...

Also bought a 100$ costco wireless backup camera, plugged it into the boat battery and strapped it with zipties to the boat's tow ring and I had an improvised rear camera that was somewhat helpful but not really necessary...

it was backing the boat into the small garage (3 inches clearance on either side) that took all of 30 minutes... but considering this was my first tow and first time backing a trailer, not to mention into a tight spot, I'll say I did reasonably well and not a scratch on the boat...

I got the tow mirrors from yournissanparts.com for 335 shipped and it was the chrome covered version.
