nice post! here are some main points I took out of the article:

Exterior: - new front and rear fascias
- new front fog lamps
- new roof rack
- standard 20-inch chromed aluminum-alloy wheels < - nice! :D
- two new exterior colors – Lakeshore Slate and Serengeti Sand.

Interior: - new instrument panel cluster design with Fine Vision electroluminescent instrumentation
- new genuine wood grain interior trim.

Comfort and Convenience: - 3rd-row power folding seat <- nice! :D
- standard heated steering wheel on the 4WD model <- comes real handy in winter!
- new stone interior.

Technological: - new standard Premium Audio System with Bose® Speakers, Burr-Brown Digital Audio Converter and 9.5-gigabyte Music Box hard drive and compact flash slot for playing MP3 files (I'm guessing the exact same system in the G)
- Newer Infiniti Navigation system
- Intelligent Key
- Larger screen for Infiniti Mobile Entertainment System (8.0 inches versus the previous 7.0)
- standard XM® NavTraffic™ system with real-time traffic information

Good find! I cant wait untill they come out to see the differences between the 06 and 07, the interior reminds me of a 2007 tahoe.

"new genuine wood grain interior trim" and "new 3rd-row power folding seat"

I wonder if new trim will fit and how difficult it would be to port the new seats to our current vehicles.

I'd like to see if we can find a way to get that auto-folding 3rd seat into the 'mada. I'd spend a little green on that mod.:D

I second that, :D , but I doubt it will happen, if you notice the second row seats when they are reclined all the way back, it is impossible folding or un folding the 3rd row seat unless the 2nd row seats adjusted forward, and the last thing you want to have is a burned 3rd row seat motor for getting stuck. now that is gonna cost some green to fix too.:D

Did anyone notice the front bumper proximity sensors? Is that standard on the current QX? Its definately not on the '06 Mada.

The QX has offered those for a couple of years. They are connected to the cruise control and keep track of how fast traffic is moving in front of you. It adjusts the speed of the QX and can even apply break pressure if needed. I think nissan should start offering this on its LE Armadas. Maybe with the tech package.

Front proximity sensors start on the '08 QX56
All QX model years have rear proximity sensors as part of the parking assist.

The Cruise control w/break preview is part of the Infiniti Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) and utilizes a Laser mounted on the lower part of the bumper.

Now we have to figure out how to retro fit our QXs with front parking sensors :)

I think the interior looks like the Infiniti M's. Well, I think the aluminum-plastic trim looks cheesy. They should replace it with wood... maybe. I don't like the 2008's as much.

I think Nissan should not offer the GPS system as part of the tech package. It should be a seperate option package. It can send the price up from 40k to 45k, plus you get stuff you don't want. Thats why I don't have an Armada. I like Nissan as brand but I think they have a bad way of grouping options. I was also looking at the Quest and all I wanted as an option was a GPS and it cost 6k! It sent the price up from 34k to 41k. Nissan has to work on that...

Personally, the front parking sensor wouldn't be that useful for me. The QX nose is so short as it is, I can gauge the location of the front bumper very well--I'd only be able to use something if it could tell me distances within the closest 12" or so. Not like the rear bumper and camera, which is very useful on a large vehicle like ours.

Actually having front sensors would be a nice touch in th QX. It seems most high end vehicles are now offering these. However, it would be much better if they offer the "park assist" system like the one in my Lexus that uses the Nav screen to display how far you are from an object and gives off visual and audible alerts as you get closer to that object. Now if this is the kind of system in the 2008 QX, then that would be awesome. Of course this would also be great for the Armada, but I guess that is just another one of those features that separate the QX from The Armada.
