I just want to say I'm mostly jelous of you 05' owners. While waiting around for my vehicle Saturday I looked through a couple. A few things I noticed:

They moved the rearview mirror readout to the overhead. I thought it looked good there. Though I'm thinking if I get a SAT receiver I may try to put in there.

The plastic is darker and doesn't seem to be as soft. :damn: why couldn't they of put that in the 04's

The front seatbelt female ends are better designed. They looked like they were longer and more flexible so that it's easier to buckle. Not that I have a problem (yet....but I do need to drop a few lbs:)) They also looked better.

The chrome dash accents? I don't know, at first I liked it, but after a few minutes I decided I like not having it. I did notice (but couldn't open the vehicle) that there was a second trim option where the chrome was speckled? not sure if it was maybe just the protective plastic that they hadn't removed or not.

The speckled look is a faux carbon fiber..it's not too bad. Way better than the plain old plastic.

I'm curious as to the changes of the '06 models. If they find and kill the rattle potentials and/or improve the interior significantly, I might make the jump. We'll see.

It's funny you brought that Faux Carbon fiber up. When we went to look at Armadas (SE) I didn't like the dash because of the color....I was hoping that the dash had more of a contrast or more chrome look to it. Well, when my Armada came in, it had the Fake Carbon Fiber look....I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED with it because I hadn't seen that kind of dash.....I like it so much better than the plain looking ones. :191:

Just click the "manage attachments" button towards the bottom when you're creating a new message, and browse to the pics on your computer, select one, and submit.

Here are a few pictures with the brushed aluminum accents. This is from a 2005 LE smoke with grey interior. The model I drove last year, I didn't remember the aluminum accents and the digital compass in the overhead console. But here they are.

Thanks for this pics, that looks nice. I like the overhead. If they keep makeing changes in this direction I will have to trade mine in for on '07 or an '08. ;)

I took pics of the faux carbon fiber dash in my Armada BUT you can't see the detail. It just comes out looking like silver. Oh and while I was out there I tried holding the unlock button on the key pad.....ITS TRUE....the windows go down! SO STRANGE......that feature is SO RANDOM.

I will have to take a trip to the dealer to see it. Like I would not be there this month anyway, LOL.

Well, with everything I read on this site.....I'm figuring it is only a matter of time before I need new breaks. I'm SCARED! I have almost 4,000 miles on the 'Mada.

I'll tell you exactly what the Faux looks like.......silver with black dots or speckles.

I have 1600 miles and am starting to hear a squeak when the brakes are initially pressed, it just last for a second and goes away. I will be at the deal soon anyway (when they get my door handle in).

The chrome is peeling off. I have been waiting for two weeks for the part, it is still not in.

THE CHROME IS PEELING! WOW.....that really sucks. Sorry to hear that.....did you have to pay for a new one or will Nissan take care of that?

Nissan is taking care of it. It was in writing when I bought the truck. That is not all.

I have a rear lift gate that sounds like it is failing apart when I go over a semi-rough road, a leaky sun roof that has a lot of wind noise and a rattling cover, excessive wind noise from the two rear doors, Major rattles from the center of the dash, a heavy shimmy in the front end at 60mph. I think that is it for now. My service advisor has my door handle on order and says he will address all these issues when I come in for the handle. He seems to be will to get all of these fixed and no hassle at all (just waiting 2 weeks so far for the handle). I have had the truck for 3 weeks now and have already put 1500 miles on it. It seems like a lot but it is an early build 04 LE 4x4 chrome 18" wheals, I believe I have all the options except DVD, Nav and the rearview camera. I bought this new for just under $33,000 list was 43,000. I figured with that price I could deal with all the "bugs" that I know Nisan will fix. At $43,000 there is not another vehicle in its class that can touch the MADA, but especially for $33,000. So, I am not too bothered by my issues (yet). I feel I got a fair price and am willing to see my service writer about very other month for the next year.

Also, the more I read this site and hear about things getting fixed for more confident I am the by the end of the year a will have a GREAT SUV and a great price. I also love being part of a group of owners that takes so much pride in what they own. AND.....:itsfriday

WELL SAID AZ! That really is a great price.......as long as Nissan fixes all that crap and you can deal with it.....like you said.
So, you have EVERYTHING BUT the DVD? Are you going to get one installed? I love it....right now I guess it's for me when I sit in the back with my little guy. He can't enjoy it YET because he still sits REAR facing in the car seat.

I do not know if I will get one. My step son is about to turn 17 and has his own car. He does not ride with us much. It is usually just my wife and I, so I do not see a return in the investment. Maybe if I got a monitor in the passenger sun visor? :clever:

That would be hot. You know what would be REALLY PIMP.........monitors in visors AND headrests! :temphot:

That would be PIMP! Was your DVD in when you bought your truck or did you added afterwards? Does anyone have a monitor in there visor? If so what do you think and do you know were to get a good deal?

Weezr17, we have digressed way of the subject of this thread. You and I may be the only two reading this now. Maybe I should start a new one asking about the DVD?
